Fantastic! I loved Amazon from the beginning but then when shipping slowed down to a snail’s pace I stopped liking them as much. Then they got over that little hump and now they’re back to shipping within a reasonable time and I’m back to loving them. Amazon is actually my favorite place to shop on the web. I read the reviews all the time and that helps me in my determinations when I’m deciding between a few items. I also like the option of buying from other sellers and that’s always worked out well for me to do that. Thanks for offering up the giveaway. Amazon got 80 percent of my Christmas business last year. So you can see I’m a fan!

I love amazon because I live in a rural area with not many stores to chose from. Add in the high gas prices plus the distance to any stores, and it makes sense to order online with them. The huge number of things they carry makes it truly one-stop shopping.

I love that you get literally *everything* from Amazon, but I worry about them pushing brick-and-mortar stores (especially family owned) out of business. That’s my love/hate. But….I use ‘em and would love the gift certificate.
I have recently used Amazon to do some purchasing for my small business. I make wedding invitations/stationery, and my paper supplier quit carrying a fairly popular cardstock. I checked a few other websites, and then I thought of Amazon. I wasn’t expecting results, but I got them. The seller had exactly what I needed, and I had it in one day. They were AMAZING! i hate how much you have to pay for shipping on tiny little books/items. but i love that you can find tons of great deals.
I liked Amazon until I needed to return something I didn’t like. The restocking fee they hit me with cost me fully 1/3 of what I had spent!
Now I only buy from them if I am absolutely certain I will not need to return!
I love how Amazon always has a good selection of stuff from parentings, to my personal favorite collection of fairies!
I loved the fact that I listed something for up to 45 days without having to pay a fee or re-list it. Much better than ebay in that way.

I love amazon because of the cheaper used books. The ones that I have recieved have been in GREAT shape, sometimes I even wonder if they are “used”. In the end they are cheaper than purchasing new ones in the mall.

At Christmas time last year they did this great thing where you could vote on one of several hot items of the season priced at fantastic prices and then if the one you voted on won, you’d be put in a lottery to be guaranteed the opportunity to buy it at that special price. I think they did one deal once a week or every few days or something. I never got picked to buy it but maybe this year!

I love Amazon.com bec I can pick up bestsellers that have been read once dirt cheap. I can also find out of print titles and out of print CDs. I can listen to music before I buy if I have heard OF a new artist, but not really HEARD them.

These are deals that are only available for 4 hours or until the qty specified is sold out. They are items offered at an additional discount. Similar to the Gold Box deals.( Fractured Toy had a good point - these are equivalent to a Blue Light Special - Anyone remember those? For those of you who aren’t old enough to remember, to old to remember (ha ha!), check out Wiki to see what company was “known” for their Blue Light Specials.)

I love Amazon’s wide selection ( especially things like bulk and obscure foods), free shipping and coupons, and buyer reviews.
I love Amazon for their varied selection of products, prompt shipping and good way of keeping informed about my shipment until it reaches me.
I mostly venture to the book section at Amazon, so my favourite thing about Amazon is the wide selection of books. Amazon always recommends me books that I don’t think I would’ve heard anywhere else.

I love Amazon and order a fair bit of stuff from there. I especially like that I can keep a shopping list in the food section and just check of what I need to order. They oftentimes carry brands that I can’t find in our local grocery store, and the greatest thing is, most of what I order ships free.

I like keeping things in a saved shopping cart and being able to move things back and forth into a shopping cart you’re checking out with that day and a shopping cart on reserve. That works out beautifully for me.
Amazon.com is one of my favorite places to shop - they have everything!

I like Amazon because I can find just about anything on there. What I do not like is the shipping and handling on books and dvds’. You buy one for one cent and its around three something in shipping. Sometimes they don’t even come with a case. Except for that I love everything else.
I love to buy books on Amazon, they have such good prices.

Well, it’s not a good thing I learned today. I was thinking of putting our two computers on Amazon for sale (It would be my first sale!). I think I’d rather start off selling something small if it’s going to take “up to 60 days” for my account to be credited as a new seller.
Not good but not bad. At least I’m informed. There IS a workaround.

Amazon is awesome for its listing of upcoming music album releases and its vast book categories; I don’t use Amazon for the household merchandise. I can spend all day clicking through people’s recommendations, the “So you’d like to” lists, and each click takes you somewhere new and unexpected. The big drawback about Amazon is that its pages take… forever … to …. load! Too many images and ads competing for onscreen real estate! It needs simpler design and less clutter. People’s lists get too convoluted and they usually repeat each other in terms of items. By now, everyone knows about “On the Road” by Kerouac!! No need to mention it 1000s of times over.
Amazon is a great place to find books.

I like the feature at Amazon where if something’s out of stock they’ll email you when it’s back in stock. That’s great for holiday shopping or anytime, actually.
Amazon has almost everything, and their free shipping is pretty fast!
I enjoyed learning about amazon prime this time… I’ve always wondered if it was worth it. You’re right though, with the stuff my husband and I buy, and then adding kids (1st due in Jan), there’s no doubt we’ll get our money’s worth. And the oversize or large items that would normally cost plenty extra… a crib comes to mind! Will think of signing up on Jan. 1 to get the full years worth. Thanks for giving us your experience with Amazon Prime.

I love checking the reviews on Amazon, it seems like whatever I’m thinking about buying has always been bought by enough other people that are willing to tell about it!
I’m a big fan of Amazon. We live in a small town with little shopping so we can either drive an hour away or order something online. Amazon’s super saver shipping is great. And I love the user reviews on products. They’ve helped tremendously when making a decision about what to purchase.
The best way to make any money on Amazon is to save any possible texbooks and list them at the start of August or January. Then desperate students will pick your item over Amazon’s.
I think the product reviews are one of the most helpful things at Amazon!

I love Amazon because where else can you buy flavored tuna, a book and an african beaded bracelet all at once?
The thing I don’t like about Amazon is that they can often be WAY overpriced. I remember price checking an item for my daughter and they were overpriced by at least $60 for that item! I do like that they carry groceries and flowers and toys and just about everything else you’ll need. Good variety. Just make sure you do some price checking so you know you’re not paying way more than you have to.
