A Walgreens Funny….

So, I’m in line to check out at Walgreen’s this past week. An elderly woman comes in with an ad. Instantly I recognize it as a CVS ad, even though she had torn out a middle page. She asks the cashier about it, “So, if I buy $25 of these items, I get $10 back on my receipt?” The cashier says yes. (She was sooo NOT into her job.)

I couldn’t let this sweet lady buy $25 of the Kimberly Clark deal at CVS. So I said, that is a CVS ad/deal, I just did it across the street. The lady was kind of embarrassed but thanked me. She did mention she was just at CVS. Maybe that is where she got the ad? I just didn’t want her to spend all that time doing the deal, ya know! The cashier seemed unfazed. (I should note, I usually have great cashier’s at Walgreens. This one was just really dry, hated her job, or honestly didn’t know. I don’t know but I’m just a shopper and I can recognize a Walgreens ad from a CVS ad so why couldn’t she?)
