Just FYI…our home internet has been down since last Friday night. I have a unreliable connection through my cell phone but it really isn’t good enough to blog. There were suppose to come Monday, today and haven’t been to our house yet to fix it…So who knows when now. So if I haven’t responded to your emails or posted the latest deals, this is probably why. I apologize. Hopefully, our connection will be up and running again the first of the year. (Part of the problem living in a rural area is not having many choices of internet providers!) I have lots of good things to blog about this coming year! Stay tuned…

Walmart doesn’t double coupons but they will price match the exact same item. Just take your ad with you and let them know at checkout the competitor’s ad price. (Some Walmart’s showcase competitor ads at the front of the store and already have it programmed into their system.) Prices could vary by region.

I didn’t watch the video first for my cake and would have learned several very helpful hints not included in the actual recipe or from looking at the picture. Like chilling your cake before cutting it so you get a clean cut.

I will be honing my skills for the upcoming spring birthdays we have at our home. With the price I can make a cake with Betty Crocker’s mixes & frosting, I can make each of the kid’s their own cakes instead of combining and only purchasing one cake from the bakery. (We usually do a 3 in 1 birthday party for our children whose birthdays range from April 30th – May 29th. Saves money and makes it easier to get together with friends & family.)
