I’m giving away a Nike + iPod Sport Kit to one lucky reader. This is a great tool to help you on your 2009 Fitness Goals. You can read my complete review, Nike + iPod Sports Kit: You might become addicted to exercising! This is a product I’ve been using for months and love.
Since, I’m a dorky numbers person, I love how it keeps track of your total minutes, mileage, and average pace. It is a big motivator to keep exercising – especially to try to beat your personal best. I have become so addicted to my stats that I don’t want to exercise if I can’t use my Nike + IPOD system.
I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to track their performance to keep themselves motivated. I will be honest, I haven’t done much exercising the past two months because of the weather but I plan on getting back on track this January with an indoor setting. My 2009 Fitness Goals, include exercising 3-4x a week for at least 30 minutes, which will help me achieve my additional 20 lb weight loss goal.

My fitness goal for 2009 — I hope to excercise more (ride bike, walk, eliptical machine) and cut back on the amount of soda pop I drink. I need to lose about 50 pounds, but right now my goal is 15 by July. If I succeed at that, then I will raise my goal to 20…and so on. I hope to eat more fresh vegetables and less red meat. I have no weight based medical condition, but was ‘diagnosed’ with precancerous, premalignant cells on my cervix in October. I’ve had the biopsy and then the LEEP, but waiting on results from that. I take no medication that would hinder an excercise regimen and am looking forward to losing some weight – I’m sure hubby would like it too!
I want one of these so bad!!!! It has been on my Amazon wishlist for quite some time!
Fitness goals for the new year,
I plan on keeping off all of the weight I have lost. Eat healthy and exercise atleast 4 days a week! I have lost almost 100 pounds and reached my goal on December 4th!
I love your website, and I commented on your review.

I absolutely LOVE stats! I wore a heart monitor strap to make sure I was in the fat burning zone every time I worked out! I had twins in July and have started weight watcher… now I’m ready to add burning off some of that extra weight! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE this !!!
Luckily, I have a very active husband. So after our son is born (late january), I’m hoping to get back on track with running and spinning. The hubs has promised to help me out, and I expect we’ll need a jogging stroller. Getting back to my pre-baby weight would be nice, but it’s more about getting back my fitness (muscle tone, energy, etc). My husband has this nike ipod system, and it’s great! I’d love to have one too, thanks for a great giveaway.
I don’t have an IPOD, but my daughter does and so I will have to steal it for this. I love that it tracks everything. I have been exercising, but now I need to up my performance and this would definitely work.
I’ve got your button. Thanks!
I could really use one of these! I have 50 pounds that I NEED to loose. My extra weight is affecting my quality of life.

My fitness goal is to stop talking about losing weight and actually start doing something about it. I feel like I spend way too much of my life worrying and talking about my weigh that if I took that energy and used it efficiently, I’d be at my goal by now! I plan on changing my diet completely decreasing my meat and fat intake and increasing my fruits and vegetable intake. In addition, I plan on running several times a week, and adding weight training. I’ve already started… that’s the easy part, but it’s sticking to it that’s hard.
My goal is to lose at least 20 pounds by June. I am modifying my eatning habits and working out at least 20 minutes 5 days a week.
In addition to eating healthier, I plan to walk more often and do at least one cardio activity for 60 minutes a day. I am already seeing results and it has only been two weeks!
Thanks for the contest!!
I would love to go from jogging on the track to running!

My fitness goal for ‘09:
I am aiming to be able to run and complete a half marathon by next January. I am starting basically from scratch (can run 1 mile at a slower pace without walk breaks). I have a new puppy for a running buddy and I really need something to help me track my mileage and progress as I just have neighborhoods to run through and it is difficult to figure out how far I’ve gone. I would love to lose some weight in the process (aiming for 10 lbs), but really I am aiming for the accomplishment and goal of being able to complete the Disney half marathon in January 2010 and then further down the road in October 2010 a full marathon.
Bests of luck to everyone here on their goals and a happy, healthy 2009!

My dad (65+) got in shape with an exercise regimen that included the special Nike shoes and the Nike + Ipod Sports Kit. He was successful in his goals to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro at 19K+ elevation without oxygen. He’d like to see me turnaround my physical health by trying the sports kit as well. I’ve purchased a tough Alaskan challenge for summer, and could use this to start a habit of lifelong health, and to prepare for a backpacking/hiking adventure during my 40th yr.
I want to start working out at my local community center – leaving my toddler with my husband in the mornings before he goes to work (at 2:30 pm), I want to do yoga at least twice a week.
I want to lose weight and gain more energy to keep up with my two year old toddler who wants to run around inside and out all day.
To try and reverse some of the damage I have done to my body over the last 13 yeas of smoking now that I have quit…..
My fitness goals for 2009 are:
Run 10 miles outside, straight (no stopping)
Mountain Bike the Boise Foothills all the way to the top (no stopping)
Be able to Bench Press 45lb. plates (I’m a 125lb girl, so this is tough)
Lower my body fat enough so I can see come abs
I have been working on some of these goals, others have been to cold and icy in the area so I can’t.
I bench pressed 30lb almost 35lb plates at the gym, but going up 10lbs is harder than it sounds.
But I’m plugging away and working at it.
I am aiming to lose about 50 pounds in 2009 !! In addition, i want to increase strength and flexibility
I would like to lose at least 60 pounds. I need to get my weight and my health under control again.

My goal is to lost weigh, fix heathly dinners for the whole family. Get the family involved with something fun and get them more active.
I have lost a great deal l of weight,. I once weighed 315 and now weigh about 200 . It was all diet and exercise, but I need motivation to keep it up. After losing the weight and getting into shape I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Now my metabolism is strictly medicine driven. So I have to work extra hard to lose even a few lbs and I need to do weight bearing exercise, including walking and or jogging so that I can keep my bones strong too. I had also parathyroid cancer, these are small glands that regulate body calcium. It isn’t easy being 43 and having the spine of a 60 year old woman. I need this!
Maintenance of weight/size, but with better muscle tone and overall fitness.
I have gone from 315 lbs to 200 lbs and I need more motivation to stay there and go lower!!

I’m regularly finding myself walking back and forth to class (1.5 miles), but I have to do so in just the right way so that I can balance the working quality and longevity of my car battery. Of course, we’re not afraid of the cold here in northern New England, so I’ve already been walking 30 minutes a day every couple of days when it’s only 5 degrees out. In the summer, I’d be doing more walking, especially since there are more joggers around, and a few of them say “Hi” to me when they’re not playing volleyball or soccer. The sports kit would be nice in helping me get their attention, and maybe a phone number or two jotted down on the back of my hand, and who knows, maybe I’ll be invited to one of their playoff games on campus.
My goal for this year is to increase my workouts so I can actually loose at least 10 pds, it’s getting harder every year to maintain and/or loose weight!
I have set reasonable goals with my Wii Fit. I have stuck to them and have lost five pounds so far.

My goal is to exercise consistently at least 3 times a week and cut out sugar in my diet.
Never heard of this before but it sounds like what I need. I eat healthier than I have these last few years and only get to exercise 2 or three times a week at most, but with a physical job like mine I do get exercise at work

I’d like to lose 30 lbs and exercise at least 3 times a week.
I am very passionate about staying fit and sticking to my fitness regime. My 2009 fitness goal is to continue with what I already do but just kick everything up several notches and take all that I do to the next level. If you stick with the same old routine then after a while your body is no longer challenged and eventually you won’t continue to see the results that you want to achieve. So you have to continually challenge yourself and mix things up so your body will continue to evolve and change in the positive manner with which you want it to. I run 4-5 days a week, I practice Yoga almost everyday, and I work the nautalis at a local gym. I have to admit there are days that I am unmotivated, and my body does not want to cooperate with what my mind is telling me to do, and it takes every bit of strength and willpower I have within me to force myself to go. But, most days I want to go because afterwards I know how good I will feel both mentally and physically! Thank you for the opportunity to enter.

But, I know that I will get fed up with the non-activity, and eventually get back to the plan. I keep track of my blood pressure/and heart rate on practically a six hour check-in round the clock. My fitness goals are simple: Spend more time at the gym. Stop working at a decent hour, have a gym bag packed and ready in my office, and leave. When exercise is a regular part of my routine, I’m happier. Plain and simple! Thanks for the chance to win.

I have an iPod. My son gave me his old one for Christmas (he got the new super duper one with touch screen and junk.)..I’m a numbers person, too. It’d be great to use during the day at work just to see how much I walk.

I would increase my activity level with this. I know I’ve gained a few pounds from lack of movement. I started teaching 3 years ago and although I’m active in class, it’s not active enough.
I blogged about your giveaway with a pic.
Come see me.
