  10. The best deal, by far, is when Rayovac posted the $1 any battery coupon. I printed about 30 and got a ton of free batteries!

  11. My best deal at the year is that I went to the store the other day and the meat department was marking many of the meats down and I got packs of pork chops for 2.00!!

  13. My favorite deals this year were all the great items I found at Walgreens AND CVS the week after Valentines Day. All for 75% off! Candies I can use in baking throughout the year, Valentines for the kids to give next year and some other fun things!

  14. My Target just closed for remodeling and they had a bunch of stuff on clearance, some of it was 90% off!

  17. My best deal of the year was my 1 year supply of laundry detergent I won!
    yeah…….lasted all of 3 months with my family of 6

  26. I found some additional deals at my Tom Thumb this week just by knowing what coupons I had and seeing sale signs on shelves. I got some diced canned tomatoes for 20 cents each and some Bertolli Premium Tomato Sauce for $1. They also had 3lb bags of Fuji and Granny Smith apples marked down to $1.99 and they are still in great shape.

  29. My best deal was at our local outlet mall; i bought about 15 summer tops for $50 if I paid full price -It would have been like $500 plus. I never pay full price though.And these were top name brands..

  30. My FAVORITE recent bargain were several nightgowns and robes I found on sale at “Dillards. They were marked 70% off the original price and then you take an extra 50% more. For example, one $50 dollar gown costs $7.50. I bought about 8 to give for birthdays, illnesses, and Christmas. Well know brands at unbelieveable prices!!!

  31. This weeks best deal was ebay was giving out a $2.00 coupon. I received one of the coupons, I had been bidding on a book which was the 3rd in a series of 3. I have the other 2. I won the auction at $2.19 with free shipping. With the coupon the books was .19cents.. Yeah!!!

  35. Wow… there have been a few I liked. I think I did super well on Kroger’s Mega 10 Sales… Plus all the REALLY cheap pop from CVS (my body doesn’t thank me, though)!

  37. I have seen several deals posted so far this year, but I have not actually done any “deal shopping” yet this year. We are in a unique living situation for another 6 weeks and it has been difficult to do the things I need to do. I did get a coupon for $3 off a CVS brand item to use last week and I used it on their BOGO vitamins, so I guess that was my personal best deal so far.

  38. Through the holidays, cub foods did “holiday bucks”-basically spend x and get y in coupons that were like free money at Cub. Through combining this and mannies and store specials, I got $150 in groceries for $50…

    This is a tie though with my wedding dress. My wedding dress is my dream dress, it is normally a $650 dress. We are getting it on sale for $300!!!!!!

  40. Hmmm, there have been so many great deals, I’m not sure which would be my favorite. The most recent springs to mind… yesterday I got 4 bags of dog treats and made 76 cents on them. Anything that makes me a profit makes me happy. ;)

  43. My best deal so far – the day after Valentines, I went to Target. They had 50% off large bags of M&Ms. I combined that with $1 off chocolate wine tags that I had. I was able to get 10 bags for $3.90 plus tax. You can freeze these to use later for cookies. Great deal.

  45. My favorite deals have been at Circuit City. They are going out of business but we got great deals on electronics and 60% off of blu-rays so far. We can’t help but go back every couple of days…

  51. I have to say the intro to ecb @ cvs has been great for me! I used to always just throw away my ecb because I didn’t know how to really use them, and I’d always let them expire before I remembered to use them. Thanks for showing me how to get the most bang for my buck! :)

  53. I went to walmart in January to get the kids some play shoes. They needed some just to play outside in so they won’t ruin their good shoes. I was planning on paying around $10 to $20 a piece for them because they already picked them out. When I got up to the register they were both on clearance for under $5 a piece. I was so happy. They wasn’t in the clearance section and the clerk said sometimes they aren’t.

  56. My favorite deal so far this year was at Bath and Body Works. I bought 3 items from their 75% off clearance and a pair of foot softening booties for a total of $15 and got a free scented aromatherapy candle ($10.50 value) with a coupon ! There was also a customer survey linked to the receipt that I took . It will get me $10 off my next $30 purchase!

  59. I know this is not all that great of a deal, but it is consistent, and that is good… I love the deal with cottonelle toilet paper. Almost everytime I go to the grocery store (kroger, of course.) I get free toilet paper. The price never changes, but the coupons keep rolling in every month. That is my favorite deal so far! Thanks!

  60. At Meijer in Michigan, 2 large boxes of Frosted Mini Wheats for $2 total. 2/$4, Catalina coupon $1 off $4 in cereal, $1 off 2 coupon.

  67. Best deal? Hubby’s Bayer Children Asprin BOGO double packs, on sale for 3.98, had a manufacturers coupon for 1.00 plus 2.00 CVS Bucks – walked out with almost 6 months of asprin for hubby for .98!

    I was proud of myself, as I am learning to be more of a bargain shopper, frugal and budget conscious

  73. my fave deal so far this year was on a set of plates i found on clearance at a local store…they were only 12 cents EACH! i cleared out the whole section really fast. :)

  74. My favorite deal so far this year Buy $20 worth of Coke products, Tylenol, or St. Joseph products, get $10 ECB back at CVS. I bought 4 Diet Cokes 12-packs for $14 and 1 Extra Strength Rapid Release Gel Tylenol 50ct. for $6. When I got my ECB back it was like paying $1.50 a piece for the Diet Cokes and $4.00 for the Tylenol!

  77. My favorite deal so far this year has been the free Fusion razors at CVS and at Walgreens. They are the only ones that DH will use and he’s a happy camper!

  83. The best deal so far have been all the free mag subscriptions I’ve gotten. They have totaled over $300 in subscriptions all for $0!!! I love reading mags, and this fuels my obsession without breaking my wallet.

    toothpaste. Total should have been $32.00 and with coupons and sale prices it came to $6.00. Not bad! Thank you!

  102. My favorite deal this year was a coupon for dog treats. We have to buy these all the time for our weiner dogs, and the tip you provided on using coupons from the product and from the receipts allowed me to use two coupons for one item. I had never tried that before I read your tips. Thanks for the advice.

  111. We save about $20/mo after we canceled our Blockbuster DVD in the mail membership. We now rent for free on Mondays or we only spend $1.00 for a rental. Redbox is the best!

  128. i’ve gotten a lot of stuff free, or even free with overage this year, but i’d have to say my favorite deal was during the kroger mega deal sale last month when i got 20 cans of rotel tomatoes and green chilies for free, because we eat a ton of this stuff at our house, and this was the first time i’d seen coupons for it!!

  141. My favorite deal of the year was going out to eat with my fiancee to a great restaurant and having the meal cost only $7 (including a $3 tip!). We had bread, drinks, and entrees. I combined a birthday coupon (for a free meal) with an in-house special offer.

  170. My favorite deal is the plate of nachos my husband and I split at our FAVORITE restaurant in Seattle, Matador. If we go from 4-6 or 10-close it’s only $4 for a HUGE PLATE, tons of cheese, beans, guac, sour cream, etc. It’s definitely big enough for dinner, so it’s only $2 each! If we ate this every day we’d save a ton, but we’d also be obese. So we limit it to 1-2 times a month. :)

  198. My favorite deal this year so far has been the 75% off at Hickory Farms I got lucky on that one early and the Kashi Soft Baked Cereal Bars. I received about six $2.00 off coupons per box and at the commissary they were only $2.25 so I ending up getting each box for .25 Plus they are really delicious too.

Hmm, best deal, one of my recent favorites: Our local Mays Drug Warehouse had a sale on Bounty Basic Paper Towels for $.59 a roll and when I went to the store to pick up a few they were out, so they gave me a raincheck. At that point, I ordered 20-$.25 off any Bounty paper towel coupons of the internet which I got in the mail a week later (and Mays doubles coupons). I ran down there and was able to get 20 rolls for $.09 each, I was SO happy!

  206. My favorite deal this year is the current Diet Coke 12pk deal at CVS. After Manuf q’s & ecbs it’s less than $1 a 12pk! We go through far too many diet coke’s & this deal makes it easier. Lol.

I seem to get great deals all the time so its hard to think of just one but I think my favorite one so far was when Colgate toothpaste was on sale for $1.50 at Kroger and I had 15 $1.50 off coupons so I got 15 toothpastes for free and then I had 4 .50/1 coupons for Cottonelle and those are .99 and my store doubles so I got those free too…and some how I think a Shortcuts coupon came off on top of that because they PAID me .40 to take 15 toothpastes and 4 4-packs of Cottonelle out of the store!!!! Now that’s what I call a great deal!!!!! :)

  213. My favorite deal of the year has to be the CVS Extra Care Bucks (ECB) program. Since around Thanksgiving, this program has stepped it up and provided two to three times the number of free after ECB deals that were available prior!

    but I actually made $3.00 because I had (2) $1.50 coupons.

  228. The best deal I got this week was to take the credit I built up by winning ,went to Amazon and bought a Numi,a glass tea pot with the flowering teas in a beautiful gift box for 12.50. It was free in the end because I won all the GC to Amazon. Great find for me.

  229. ve 2 great deals this year I have gotten 14 free bars of Little Buddies Soap all FREE and the Racheal Ray Dog Food, I have gottem like 6 sample bags with $2.00 coupons in the sample and my dog LOVES thi sfood and we are now totally switching her over to this food we where able to do it slowly so she could get used to it because of all the free samples! Awesome!

  236. I just started last week! So my favorite deal so far has been the Neutrogena sunblock sticks – I use these regularly, and I got 2 for $13.00 + got $10 ECB! Love it!

  239. I’ve just recently started using coupons and I’m so happy and surprised how much cheap and free stuff I can get. Couple weeks ago I stocked on free cleaning products and I’m wondering to myself that how in the earth I’ve ever paid a full price of any of them.

  253. It was at Kohls 2 weeks ago. I wanted 2 of the Hallmark puppies. They were free with a 3 card purchase, or $6 each. The had a huge selection of .99 cards, buy 3 get the 4th free. I purchased 8 Hallmark cards and 2 puppies for $6.45. I was way more excited for myself than the checker. It was fun.

  271. I haven’t gotten to take advantage of too many deals lately, as I’m recovering from surgery, but my favorite deals have been the great ECB deals at CVS. Rolling those over and over gives such a thrill – it can add up quickly to some amazing bargains!

  280. My best deal so far was using the free coupons from the Kraft Sweepstakes and the Kids Essentials for a very low grocery bill. I also did the nuetrogena at CVS and with the $10.00 back and the free mouthwash and all the shampoo coupons and e-bucks and the $5 off of $30.00, I spent $16.00 for $30 dollars worth of products and got $14.00 in cvs-bucks back.

  285. My favorite deal was a combination of two: The “buy $20 worth of Lay’s/Pepsi products for ECB’s and then using the UPS for the Pepsi/Lay Snack deal coupon refund.

  299. So many deals, it’s hard to pick one! I got the Revlon creme lip gloss free after rebate at Walgreens (using a coupon, of course, so it’s overage) and really like it. Nothing better than free if you like the product.

  300. I’ve gotten so many great deals but the best one lately was the 6 free rainchecks we got for the Denny’s Grand Slam meals. Our little guys don’t eat much, so that meant TWO free meals out!

    the post you just had was on the Meijer Eco Friendly Laundry Detergent even though it wasn’t an actual deal – it will be if it works for my daughter, she eczema gets so bad in the winter, it starts to bubble up on her hands.   322. My favorite deal is my Entertainment Book coupon I used to get $5 off my shopping order, and I use it 4x a year, it pays for the book!

  324. At Safeway last month, they had Quaker Chewy granola bars on sale for buy 2 get 3 free. Everyone was grabbing tons of boxes, but no one paid any attention to the little coupon machine mounted on the shelf. It had coupons for $1 off 2 boxes of the granola bars, and I grabbed two coupons. The rundown for 5 boxes: $14.95 full price – $8.97 (3 free) – $2.00 (coupons) = $3.98 for 5 boxes, almost $11.00 in savings! It was pretty awesome :)

  327. The best deal I’ve had here at home is our Local grocery store Ukrops lets you accumulate money off gas. It accumulates so you can earn a free tank of gas!

  331. I think my favorite is getting the free XtraBucks from CVS. I shop there frequently and I love when the register coughs up a free $10 in XtraBucks coupon..it’s like my next shopping trip is free.

    Oh and not a coupon or freebie but I scored a great 5×7 rug at Target. It was on a clearance endcap marked down from $60 to $12.

  334. My favorite deal was… gosh I love them ALL. If I have to pick one I’d say this Sunday I went to Aldi for the first time in probably 2 years (looking for a good bargain) and they had their flowers for only $.25 PLUS they were BOGO FREE!! YEP – $.12 for each bundle. I LOVE fresh flowers, this deal made my day.

  341. I have to say that my favorite bargain so far has been the code for a free red box movie each Monday. My husband was laid off in September and has been unable to find anew job. (I am a SAHM, I babysit to help out). The free movie gives us a date night each week at no cost! This has been a great form of entertainment for us!

  347. I’m trying to think of the best deal–it’s sooo hard! During the last few weeks, I got some generic Prilosec at Walgreens–was able to stock up using the Register Rewards that printed each time! I’m going to do a GM buy 10 get $10 off next order deal tomorrow at my local Cub Foods. I’m hoping that’s my best deal of the year–thanks!

  350. I made a little money this week combining an internet coupon, Sunday coupon, and the monthly Walgreens rebate on two Glade products. I love being paid to shop.
