For the free gift, it depends on how much you spend the first time in August too, it seems like. The guy ahead of me in line got a 99 cent CVS chapstick. I got $1.69 CVS lotion.
I have to tell you how disappointing it’s been to see all the good deals at CVS in the paper, but upon arriving at 1pm, there’s not a thing left in the store. Even the bath wash (not free, but a great deal) was missing from our store’s shelves. It really makes me question how much effort I am willing to put into trying to snag their sales. Either the entire town goes at 7am and buys the deals up or they just don’t have that much to begin with. I’ve also noticed that the free deals haven’t been marked lately either.

Missy, I have had the same thing with the store not having any of the deals, but I have made sure to get rain checks. CVS rainchecks list ECBs, so you will get the same deal. One other good thing is that they don’t expire.
I was the first one to our CVS Sunday morning and I got the last one of the Blink Tears. So they couldn’t have very many, unless all the employees bought them. But I did get all the school supplies except the folders and I only got one pair of scissors. I had to go early because I have been missing out, too. I do have some rainchecks but still waiting for the stuff to come in.
That’s a great tip! I didn’t realize rain checks apply to ECBs. Wonderful!

I went in on Sunday for the Electrosol deal and the shelf was empty, just a lonely tag. I shopped around for some things I needed. I came back to that isle for something else and they were restocked. I grabbed my 5 and left.
I think that maybe if we happen to come upon an empty shelf, it just may be that they haven’t been able to restock it. ( thinking positive! ) From now on I am going to ask before I leave empty handed or with a rain check. My only issue with a rain check is that sometimes your coupon will expire before the items are back on the shelf.
