Back-to-school time is upon us. While our family fun traditions of back-to-school clothing and supply shopping and first day photos are complete, we can still add fun to our daily routines with lunch creations. This year my kids have decided to start packing their lunch daily. This means coming up with healthy ideas that are also fun for their lunch boxes.
It is easy to feel good about packing your child’s lunch with sensible wholesome snacks that are always fun with Nature’s Harvest® Bread and Entenmann’s® Little Bites™ Snacks. With Nature’s Harvest® Bread is baked with whole grains and includes at least 8g of whole grains in every delicious variety.
Since almost every lunch includes a sandwich, this is a perfect choice for our family. As part of the Life of the Lunchbox™” promotion, we were asked to share ways we make our lunch box fun yet still feel good about the foods we are sending with our children to school.
We have a simple way we do this around our house and it’s by using cookie cutters to make shapes out of the sandwiches. We have a cute mini-set that includes stars and apples, which is great for a back-to-school theme.
We include a fruit and a vegetable and a special snack. I love sending Entenmann’s® Little Bites™ Snacks as part of their lunch and these never stay “in-stock” for very long at our house. Entenmann’s® Little Bites™ Snacks are made with real ingredients and are always moist and fresh. The pouch is perfect for their lunchbox since it provides a perfectly portioned snack without any mess. Adding a pouch of bite-sized and great tasting snacks is a great way to add a smile to their little faces.
