What stresses me out the absolute very most about the holidays, is the fact that the media, and peers, are inundating my children with messages of buy! buy! buy! when all I want for them is to understand what a wonderful thing Christmas really can be if you find the true meaning and story behind it. For me, it is shopping and traveling. We don’t own a car and rely on public transit which can be very stressful around the holidays, especially when we are already running late.

What don’t stress me out? I stress about “still paying for last Christmas” Decking the halls, when I really want to deck Santa, Trying to create a Normon Rockwell Christmas on a Ebineezer Scrooge budget! But oh don’t we all try to put the “J” in joy for all our loved ones. I just wish there was a way to time warp through Christmas…my luck it won’t even snow!

I get seriously stressed out during the holidays because my husband goes overseas each year and my son and I have to keep our business going, working 6 days a week and plus getting the shopping done along with making gifts and getting everything ready for guests.
