Amazon is offering a FREE download for the new Kindle program for your PC. Currently, it only works with Windows 7, Vista, and XP. I use the FREE Kindle App on my iPhone and my daughter recently started using the one on our iPod touch. I love it! I know some people want the pages in their hands and I thought I would miss it too. However, it is so handy to have a book with me at all times.

There are also numerous FREE Kindle book downloads on Amazon. I was pleasantly surprised to see some new FREE Kindle downloads. These change often so you have to check back to see what is offered. I’ve found quite a few new authors I enjoy through the free downloads.

The only thing I don’t want to read on my Kindle is reference type books or cookbooks at least with iPhone/iPod Touch App.

I think Kindle is just one of those things you have to try even if you think you won’t like it!

I think everyone knows who the Pioneer Woman is. Her blog was one of the first I started reading. I’ve never met her but I’ve heard from others that she is really nice in person. Anyway….

I found this great deal at Amazon for her new book, Pioneer Woman Cooks: The Accidental Cowgirl for $14.85. This would be a great gift idea for anyone who likes to cook. I’m sure the recipes are delicious (wish calorie free). Any of the recipes I’ve ever used on her site before have been instant hits!
