I did this deal and got my canvas a few weeks back. When I received it, I noticed a promotion on my receipt that said “get a rebate for your shipping at freeshipping.com” so I checked it out. I signed up for a free 30-day trial of freeshipping.com (CanvasPeople is one of their merchants) and then submitted my rebate information to freeshipping.com via email per instructions on their site.

Then…I Googled freeshipping.com and found many reports of the website being a scam! People were saying that their credit cards were being charged $80 for a yearly fee and that it was hard to cancel, and that you didn’t actually get any rebates until the 30 day trial was over, etc., etc. When I read this, I got really scared and cancelled my membership to freeshipping.com immediately on their site!

However, 2 days ago my eyes nearly popped out of my head when I opened the mail to find a $14.95 rebate check from freeshipping.com for the cost of my CanvasPeople shipping. Um, it actually worked!

Now, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this idea to others…but it could actually work if you like to take risks with your credit card, like me ;) Just kidding!

I wanted to share my experience and wondered if anyone else out there tried it!
