tool box 150x150 NOW CLOSED: Giveaway: $100 Home Depot Gift Card Ends 12/14Do you have a hard to buy person on your list? A Home Depot Gift Card would make a great gift for do-it-yourself-er’s or anyone on your list since Home Depot has such a wide array of products. They have over 17 different gift card designs including an adorable Scratch n Sniff Gingerbread card which you can design with stickers, and a card that looks like it is wrapped with handyman tape – you know the tape that can be used to fixed ANYTHING – Duct Tape!

Although, I’ve not purchased anything from HomeDepot.com, I have always enjoyed the brick & mortar store. A few years ago, we found an awesome deal, thanks to a tip from my Uncle Scott, on Flowering Cleveland Pear trees from the Home Depot. We purchased 20 of them and every single one of them is still alive and growing magnificently! Impressive because I can’t say that 100% of our nursery purchased trees have survived.

You can search for great gift ideas by personality, recipient, and best of all PRICE. You can find over 500 unique and gift items at homedepot.com/gifts. You can find tips and projects to help prepare your home for the holiday hustle & bustle at homedepot.com/prepare. Many great ideas on how to improve the high traffic areas in your home. You can also find tips on decorating “Green”. This year the Home Depot is offering 50% more energy efficient light products.

Shipping is FREE on most orders over $149. Other items have shipping built into the price. You can buy Gift Cards ANYTIME from Home Depot with Free Shipping! (I’ve seen other sites, try to charge an additional $5-10 for shipping of gift cards!) You will want to sign up for their special offers, promotions (like their FREE Do it Yourself Workshops), newsletters and more HERE. We receive numerous coupons throughout the year for the Home Depot.

Don’t forget if you buy from Homedepot.com, make sure to shop through EBATES as you will receive 6% back! (Normally it is 3% but it is double for the Holiday!) Enter HOLIDAY733 at checkout and you will receive $5 off a $50 purchase. (Must be merchandise will not work if you are buying a gift card.) I would put this gift card towards a nice camcorder for our family…we have been saying that we would love to video tape all our Christmas traditions and get-togethers so that we could send them to my sister in Ireland…this is our first Christmas without a member of the family here.

If I got the gift card, I would put it toward a new toilet. I know, not too exciting but we can’t figure out what’s wrong with the current one and I would love to get rid of the little annoying leak!!

I would use it toward an upright freezer. My husband is a diabetic, so we’re meat eaters…and a freezer to store bulk in would be so helpful!!

If I won it, I’d spend it on a water heater cover and a programmable thermostat. It’s a goal in 2009 to become better at conserving energy! Thanks for the opportunity!
