If you haven’t heard about freepeats, it is a fabulous way to recycle your gently used baby clothing, gear, toys, and maternity clothes and find items you may need that others are giving away. Angie, founder of Baby Cheapskate, started this online forum to help parents pass along their gently used baby stuff and help reduce waste in the landfills.

Freepeats is now available in over 47 cities all over the country. There are couple of special promotions going on.  Join any existing Freepeats group in March, post two (2) offers of baby clothing, toys, or gear on your local offers board by the end of the month and your membership fee will be refunded! Normally, the cost to join is $4.95 (lifetime).

If you live in Madison, WI or Knoxville, TN you can join FREE through 3/15. Freepeats is welcoming these two new forums with free membership. (This is how I received my free membership – I signed up back in the late summer when the Indianapolis forum opened up.)

I love Freepeats because it is a community of people looking to share the same types of items as me. You aren’t going to accidentially stumble upon something uh, strange like other free listing sites. I’m loving reading about the success stories.

On a side note, I love Angie and felt a little stalkerish at Blissdom trying to track her down. I was able to find her finally at the Geek Squad booth as she was having computer problems and couldn’t twitter her location to her stalkers. She is also the founder of Blogcoach.org, which has been a lifesaver for my blog.
