groupon 300x131 Groupon: Daily Offers in YOUR City

Groupon. I have been seeing ads all over the internet for this site. You probably have to.

So what is Groupon?

Use the power of collective buying with Groupon.  Groupon offers a daily deal in your city through the power of group buying. I’ve been amazed at the offers in Indianapolis!

Each day they feature something really fun at an unbeatable price. You can only get it if enough people join that day. There is also a limited amount of discounts. But you must buy it before midnight that night or you will miss out on the deal!

For example, today (11/24) in Indianapolis, you can get a $100 Gift Certificate to Dream Dinners for just $45.

  • Expires 08/25/2010
  • Limit 1 per person, may buy multiple as gifts. Indianapolis location only. Sampler menu only. Pickup days are Thurs. & Sat., must schedule 24 hours prior.

Past offers for the Indianapolis are include, $35 for a 2 hour cooking lesson, $3 skating and rental, $25 for $50 of dinner, drinks, and cheese at Euphoria.

Offers will vary by location and there are 35 major cities which are offering discounts currently. Also, if the deal doesn’t get enough buyers, your order will be canceled and you will not be charged.

Have you tried Groupon? What did you think?

I love Groupon! They just opened up in Tampa a few months ago and I posted about them on my blog last month. I check the site every day to see what deal is up. It’s very addicting. LOL I’ve already bought 2 of their deals and have to keep my spending down. :)

I just read about this site in Shop Smart magazine and wanted to check it out. Thanks for the reminder. Also, I’m so happy to hear they have good Indy deals since that is where I am at too!

I get Boston’s Groupon notification, and it is awesome … as long as you stick to things you were already thinking about buying. It is easy to look at all those “deals” and end up spending way more money than you ever would have without joining Groupon. But I’ve tried to limit myself to services and stores I’d already been thinking of indulging in, but just couldn’t bring myself to spend the money. In those cases, they’re awesome deals! And places I’ve heard of before and really wanted to visit do come around off and on (Zipcar membership, a gift certificate for a fresh pasta shop, and a gym membership are the ones I’ve bought).

Also, do read the fine print. Sometimes you can buy more than one coupon, but it’s only one coupon per visit; and sometimes you can buy them as gifts!
