This will probably sound boring, but I would blow the whole $100 on perennials for my garden! This is the first year my husband and I have been able to do work outside (last summer I was heavily pregnant), and we have our garden all dug out. When I saw how expensive plants would be, I tried growing them from seed instead. Didn’t work out. I guess I will have to add little by little when I have some extra money :-)

I know this is super unsexy but I would spend the hundred dollar gift card on a shower rod, shower curtain and new bathroom fixtures for the bathtub.
My husband is six foot nine and he has to duck to get under the shower doors. I would take the shower doors down and put up a new taller showerhead with matching fixtures.

I would use it to buy my husband a new lawn mower. He is still using the mower he used as a kid. Its a hand me down from his dad. It had the self propelled feature but that broke and now he has to push it through the bumpy thick grass / weeds we have here in Florida. I would buy new ceramic tile for our kitchen. Our hardwood was damaged recently after a leaky faucet.

My 2 Pomeranian pups got jealous and started making a mess in the house so we had to put them in the garage last month. I hate that they are in there and would love to have some extra money to go toward getting that fence up faster for them!

I would give it to my brother as a birthday gift so he could put it towards buying some tools for his landscaping business he is trying to start. :-)
We need at least 1 window. I know that does not sound right, but we had to move to our spare bedroom for a little while and the windows do not open. My husband is having trouble because of how hot he is getting during the night, even with the ceiling fan running. The window air conditioner does not reach the bedrooms, but a window that opens would sure be nice so we can get the cooler air from outside in the evenings.
Our refrigerator is over 20 years old and it’s time we get a new one before it kicks the bucket on us. We’ve had it on the list to get one but like everyone else something always comes up to where we move it on our list of things to get.
I would get closet storage to redo our closet and allow us for function and storage.

I don’t know where we would begin…my husband and I do all of the remodeling in our 1950’s home, bedrooms, bathrooms, basement-actually Home Depot did the granite work in our bar area. This time of year is all about the outdoors, flowers, grass, landscaping, our backyard is our summertime oasis, our haven and Home Depot is where we go to make it all happen.

We could really use it to fix a missing drywall and leaking pipes for shower. The pipes for shower started leaking and ruined the drywall. Then in the middle of the project – I was laid off and lost the funds to repair. :( We shut of the water supply to the shower pipes and left the wall showing studs. Could really use this to help repair it so that we can also use the shower again and so that we don’t have to look at the studs!
My husband has been wanting to replace the overhead light in our kitchen. We would spend our gift card doing that.
I would use the gift card to buy some fruit trees to plant. And maybe some building supplies to help out with making an area for goats or chickens.

I’ve already bought my dad a great Father’s Day gift, so if I won the Home Depot gift card, I would use it toward the purchase of a new toilet. Talk about flushing money down the drain! But seriously, I attended a water conservation class recently, and learned that the average person uses more water in the toilet than anywhere else in the house. Our house is old enough that our toilets may be using as much as 6 gallons per flush – that’s a crazy waste of this precious resource. I looked at a new toilet at the Home Depot website that uses only 1.28 gallons per flush AND is tall enough to help reduce the strain on my arthritic knees and back. (I’m not old – I’m just drawn that way! – My apologies to Jessica Rabbit for paraphrasing her line.) And it only costs $138 at Home Depot! That would truly be an investment in both being a good steward of the environment, and financially, as we live in a semi-rural area where our MUD price for water is higher than in town.
Windows. We have two in disrepair that should be replaced. Getting new windows would help save on our energy bills over time.

I, with my husbands opinion and input would use the gift certificate to purchase insulation and drywall for our upstairs bathroom. It is in dire need of re-doing as there is no insulation in the walls. We have to tear out all the drywall, re-wire, insulate and redrywall, then pain or paper. I would spend the entire $100 on whatever my husband wanted for Father’s Day. I think it would be fun to take HIM on a shopping spree since he does so much for our family and provides us with OUR shopping sprees. I think that Father’s don’t get enough credit these days. I mean- you watch TV shows and they always degrade the Father figure as a goof ball not as a family leader. Father’s Day is to honor our husbands and Father’s for all they do.
