Will the combining with the purina.com coupon work even though the coupon states that it cannot be combined with other discount coupons? The verbage is confusing to me and I am sure the it will be to the register operators. As a side note, I’ve run into tons of problems using coupons at Meijers lately and even had a manager at the McHenry store say that they are considering discontinuing acceptance of coupons altogether.

Nicole – I doubt they will stop taking coupons all together! If they do, they will lose lots of sales & customers!

Meijer will accept a Meijer Store Coupon and a Manufacturer’s coupon for each item. (This is the current policy as per their corporate office.)

Ive also been having major issues with Meijer and coupons…. but generally Ive found it the cashiers. A couple weeks ago I had the corporate policy with me (like I do for nearly all stores) and the girl threw a fit that it didnt matter only what was on the coupon mattered……..I asked to speak to a manager and was told they would say the same thing…. but my mom is a district director and I complained to her.

I havent had any issues with Meijer, as I have had with Target and Kmart. I find the cashier at Meijer makes the difference, as I have typically had great ones- onle lady even commended me for my saving ability and said she wished she could do it! Also, I have found that if you go while it is semi-busy and go through the self- checkout, then the assistance cashier will push through all your coupons to try and move you out of line quickly!!

I can’t get the Manufacturer coupon for Purina to download, it takes me to a page to select a shelter to help.

After you select a local shelter you can print the coupon.

Meijer refused to accept the $5.00 coupon from my husband earlier tonight, saying it was fraudulent. I can’t figure out how it is fraudulent when it comes directly from their web site. Has this happened to anyone else?

My Meijer had this dog food for $12.99, even with th Q it is over my limit so I left the Q on the shelf for someone else to find.
I have also found cashiers lately being belligerant about Q’s. What is their problem? It isn’t their money. I have recognized a few faces at local stores who admire our frugality and head straight to them. Success at couponing truly depends on the point of sale…i.e.; the cashier. Try to be a “regular” with a cool one and reap the rewards!

The Purina coupon states that it cannot be combined with other coupons. That coupon is different than the mealbox coupons. The statement on the coupon overrides the corporate policy. A friend of mine got in serious trouble for trying to use a manu with it. I highly suggest that you not try it with a manu because it causes a lot of trouble for others. Just thought I would let you know.
