    I did read your link – it was so helpful and was the first I’d heard of the double coupons at Meijer. I think I’ll ask an individual cashier before I shop and if she says yes, I’ll be sure to go to her line. You’re completely right about the results varying from cashier to cashier! Btw, do you shop with children? If so, any advice? I’ve been trying to start couponing, but with my 11 month old throwing everything I hand him in the floor and getting frustrated while I try to organize coupons, I’m wondering if it’s going to be something I can manage.

    I don’t believe they double the Meijer coupons. Only Manufacturer’s Coupons.

    My Meijer doubles coupons up to 50 cents. Anything 51 cents or more is redeemed at face value. Some Meijer stores have limitations on the # of identical item coupons they will double. My store says they will only double (2) of the same coupon. However, I have found that to be a YMMV depending on the cashier. Because they can override it and make it double even if you have (3) of the same coupon!

    They should double just (1) coupon as long as it is .50 or under. Not sure why they said you had to buy more than one item.

One helpful reader told me her Meijer did not do this it in Michigan and they don’t have be competitive!

    Some cashiers are worse than others. Find one you like and wait in line for that person the next time you check out! :) Sometimes you can scope out the cashiers to see who looks like they will be coupon friendly. :)

    Hi Briana! Thanks for the info on Meijer! I had no idea they would double coupons. I called our local store and they said that they only double them if you buy more than one of that item. Has that been true for you? Also, have you had to tell the clerks to double them? I’ve had several experiences where the clerks just don’t seem to want to fool with coupons, much less go above and beyond. Thanks for any insight you have!
