Mom Faves: What Moms Love Most

I had the pleasure of meeting Josh & Rebecca Unfried, founders of Mom Faves, at the recent Blissdom 2009 Conference. Did you know you could make marshmallows? I didn’t but I’m pretty clueless in the kitchen. Rebecca makes an awesome red hot marshmallow. She made them especially for the Mom it Forward #gno chickas. Lucky us!

What is Mom Faves? It is a site where moms can share what they love with other moms. They are officially kicking off Wednesday, February 11th for 8 days of festitivies. You will want to check out Why Moms Matter and stay tuned until February 20th, when they announce the Why Moms Matter Project. I’m excited to learn more.

Good Morning,

Just thought I’d let you know that due to what they’re calling “too many scams” our local Food Lion (West Columbia, SC) is no longer honoring any online printed coupons – the manager on duty claimed this directive comes from Corporate headquarters. It’s confusing though since many of the coupons I tried to use are FROM food lion’s website. Meh.

Guess I’ll just continue to use the do-it-yourself isles at Wal-Mart.

Carmina – I suggest you call Food Lion’s corporate headquarters and let them know what the manager is saying. There is no Food Lion around me so I can’t confirm this. But it seems like every chain has some manager who makes his/her own rules. I think I would point out very specifically that the coupons you are trying to use are on the company’s own website. That is just insane that they won’t accept them. Maybe next time, you can keep the whole printed page with the web url (food lion) on the coupon. Good luck and sorry you are getting hassled. That can be so frustrating.
