“Mom, when did you become a coupon FREAK?”

Is what my ten year old daughter asked me last night. She meant it in the nicest way possible but it struck me as funny. Flash ahead to this morning and yes, I now I do believe I’m a coupon FREAK.

: Kmart at 8am

This was the scene of Kmart this morning. I left early and drove our truck the 15 miles in the snow to get some major savings! I wanted to arrive at opening to make sure the items I wanted for Super Doubles were in stock! For the first 20 minutes, I was the only non-employee in the store. Then, I finally saw some more “coupon freaks”.

Checking out was a little bit of a disaster. Partly my fault, partly the “system’s” fault. However, we eventually figured it all out and I was out of there about 2 hours later with over $100 in savings.

I’m working on making a list of the deals I received today with coupon match ups. It is kind of hard to do because some of the coupons I used weren’t insert coupons and many expired today! But if you did receive a Sunday Procter & Gamble Insert today, you can still get a couple of freebies!

I’m eagerly awaiting your list-I have a KMart right near my office but have no idea where to start!
And why did my paper not have any coupon inserts? I have not gotten a Red Plum, either in my paper or in the mail for a few weeks now. Where do I get more coupons????

Kmart list is up!!!! :) Usually, the largest circulating paper in your area, will have the best coupons on Sundays. There was only a Procter & Gamble insert this week so no worries about not having a Red Plum or Smart Source insert!

I have found that sometimes if you a buy a Sunday paper in the store or in a machine, the coupons are missing (people might take them – they missed filling that paper??)…I subscribe the Sunday paper so I know I get mine – if I don’t, I can email/call customer service for my newspaper.

OMG!! my hubby also told me something about my coupons which was funny to me. So yesterday we went out to eat and when we were done i asked him to stop by a gas station so i can get the paper. He ends up telling me ” you don’t need the paper you have plenty of coupons. You’re obsessed with coupons so no were not stopping. Anyways we ended up stopping by a gas station and i got the paper yay!! and i do believe i have a coupon obsession. lol

haha oh no! I’m sure she meant freak in the most loving way possible! My son likes to get in line with me at the store and go “Not COUPONS again! Mom why can’t you just pay for stuff with money???”

I became a coupon freak very young and my friends laugh at me when we’re at the store because I pull out a stack of coupons and hold the line up for about 15 minutes. I show my friends my reciept showing how much I saved and then the say, “oh girl, I got to get me some of those coupons!”

I am just now starting to be a coupon freak. So far I love it. I just don’t where to start and what websites I should be checking out!
