Yet another reason to get a Kindle! Today, Amazon has announced the Kindle Lending Library when you are a Amazon Prime Member. They are also offering a FREE one month subscription to Amazon Prime, which you will need for the upcoming holidays.

If you are new to Amazon Prime, it eliminates your normal shipping costs and gives you upgraded two-day shipping on all available from Amazon. (Some limitations but I’ve found most of the items I want there is a Amazon Free Shipping options!)

With Amazon Prime, you will also get access to FREE Streaming of over 10,000 movies and tv shows.

You can “borrow” up to one book a month with the Kindle Lending Library .  Not all the books out there are available to be borrowed but you could still find some good books to read for free. There is also another site a friend told me about called BookLending.com. You can also lend books for a certain time period to your friends by managing your digital account.

To use the Kindle Lending Library, you must have an actual Kindle device. However, with other programs like BookLending.com, you can read on the Kindle apps as well.  Prices have dropped significantly on the Kindle devices and they have the new Kindle Fire coming out soon.
