kroger pet insurance

This giveaways is part of the 15 Days of Holiday Giveaways at Bargain Briana!

Here's something I bet you didn't know. Kroger Personal Finance offers affordable Pet Insurance for your loved furry friend. I wasn't aware until Kroger emailed me to ask if I wanted to share this information with my readers.

To many people, their pet IS a member of their family. So when their pet gets injured or sick, pet owners are willing to pay a hefty price to keep their beloved pet. I've heard the stories from friends and family of the costs of getting their pet healthy again. It's not cheap at all and can put families in debt.

There is now an affordable options for pet owners right at the checkout lanes of the nation's largest traditional grocery store, Kroger. Instead of waiting for unexpected expenses, you can now budget a monthly insurance policy which can cover accidents and illnesses as well as routine care for your cats or dogs. The price ranges from $9.95 – $79.00 a month.

We don't currently have a pet. But if we did, I would like the peace of mind that paying an upfront monthly fee for the healthcare of my pet would provide instead of having to make a tough decision on my pet's health care needs based on the funds available at that moment.

Don't have a Kroger Family Store (Fred Meyers, King Soopers, Ralph's, etc.) near you? Kroger Personal Finance also makes these policies available for pet owners online KrogerPets.com. Plus, Currently, when you sign up online at KrogerPets.com you will receive a $10 Kroger Gift Card in the mail 2-4 weeks after your purchase.

To spread this news, Kroger has offered one Bargain Briana reader a $25 Kroger Gift Card. This card can be used at any of the Kroger family stores.

Be sure to check out the Bargain Briana Holiday Gift Guide for more fantastic and unique holiday gift ideas! This list will be updated throughout the coming weeks so check back for ideas and coupon codes.

Our kids have 4 legs and are a huge part of our family! They would go every where with us if we allowed it but with 2 Jack Russell that just does not happen often. Major is the laid back snuggle bug and Kelya is the VERY high strung one that probably should be on Doggy Downers (which I would never do)! They are always excited to see us, my protectors when my husband is out of town and make great paw strong heaters!

Our daughters pup. Madeliene a Scottish Terrier is the baby of the family. She never barks, always goes outside to do her business and is a kissy face baby. We love her like she is a human! I never, ever thought I would love a dog this much either. But she has the sweetest heart and she is a good person. LOL! We love her for being so good and well behaved so Santa left some goodies for her under the tree. Thanks for letting me enter.

That’s pretty cool! Pet insurance is definitely worth it..i too agree that pet’s are family members. I would get insurance for my other family members, so why not for my pet too? :) I don’t have Kroger but I signed up with Trupanion pet insurance and they have been so great and helpful with my lab Brody. He got very sick earlier this year and I don’t know if I would be able to keep him if he wasn’t insured. Vet bills and meds rack up, especially when they have cancer. Trupanion pet insurance covered 90% of all my vet bills, pet premiums don’t increase with pets age like they do with other companies, i chose my own deductible, and they cover certain conditions for the life of the pet, especially congenital and hereditary conditions. I think that all pet owners should look into it and see if it’s right for them…

A great site to check out for an unbiased pet insurance comparison if you are shopping around is http://www.petinsurancereview.com :)

Our pets are the center of our lives because we can’t have children. They’re teacup Chihuahuas and really do seem to have the personalities of toddlers so we hardly ever feel sad about not having kids.

I have always loved dogs and always had one (even as a baby I had a beagle that was born 1 day before me)..I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have one (maybe a few years in college when I couldn’t even afford to feed myself) . Dogs bring so much to a family. In this past year I lost my dog, Zoe, who had been the best dog ever all of her 13 plus years (I’m getting amnesia about the time she ATE an ottoman)..but through out those years she was more than a pet, she was my friend, nanny, and protector. I now have 2 puppies, Juno and Reese Cup and I consider them my 2 youngest children (albeit the two that like to sniff butts ..a little more than my human three..but not by much ha ha!)

I am a fan on Facebook. Our dog, Raven, was most definitely a member of our family for 14 years. Sadly, she passed away in January of this year. We had gotten her for Christmas in 1994 when she was only 4 weeks old. We had to heat baby formula for her in the microwave until her teeth came in. After that she would run into the kitchen when she heard the microwave “ding” at the end of a cooking cycle.
