I've had great experience with VPI but they are one of the most expensive ones. If you have a young, healthy pet there is not much point to pay their rates and you'll be better off with one of the cheaper pet insurance companies. They all have different rates based on your pet's age and breed and who knows what else, but it's easy to use a pet insurance comparison site and see which is the best plan to fit your requirements.

I am a fan on Facebook. Our dog, Raven, was most definitely a member of our family for 14 years. Sadly, she passed away in January of this year. We had gotten her for Christmas in 1994 when she was only 4 weeks old. We had to heat baby formula for her in the microwave until her teeth came in. After that she would run into the kitchen when she heard the microwave “ding” at the end of a cooking cycle.

I have always loved dogs and always had one (even as a baby I had a beagle that was born 1 day before me)..I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have one (maybe a few years in college when I couldn’t even afford to feed myself) . Dogs bring so much to a family. In this past year I lost my dog, Zoe, who had been the best dog ever all of her 13 plus years (I’m getting amnesia about the time she ATE an ottoman)..but through out those years she was more than a pet, she was my friend, nanny, and protector. I now have 2 puppies, Juno and Reese Cup and I consider them my 2 youngest children (albeit the two that like to sniff butts ..a little more than my human three..but not by much ha ha!)
