This is just horrible – not the Christmas Spirit at all – completely out of control. If you haven’t heard, a Walmart worker was killed today in a stampede when 2,000 customers stormed the door. While he lay gasping for breath, people still continued to walk over him. How sad and just plain horrible. Those responsible should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. This quote says it all: “Oh yes, they’re savages,” Cribbs said.
This is one of the many reasons we didn’t get up early…we waited to go out until about 8:30am. Deals were still good for the items we needed and we didn’t have to deal with the crazy mobs.

Im hoping the people who are responsible for trampling him were just being pushed from those behind. I hate to think of people doing something like that on purpose.

I was just reading that story in the paper this morning. The shoppers were pushing and shoving so hard that they actually snapped the door off its hinges to get into the store! The temporary employee was killed and 4 others taken to the hospital with injuries, one of which was a woman who is 8 months pregnant!
I agree that such materialistic greed is NOT the holiday spirit. The presents should NOT be the focus of this holiday. We never shop on Black Friday. We spend the day at our favorite Christmas tree farm with our family and enjoy a quiet day in the country selecting our tree.
I agree it is awful, it is all I could think about yesterday, then I read there were two customers having a shoot out in our local toys r us over their wives quarreling over gifts. (someone was shot to death) – Palm Valley. I feel so sad for them
This is disturbing and that video-1. I can’t believe they would post that and 2. People are actually laughing and making jokes at the end. The fact that they actually taped it isn’t a surprise at all. People are sick.
