As you are reading this, I am car pooling with my blogging pals in the Van ‘O Fun to the BIGGEST blogging conference for women, Blogher. My Ohio Pals,@MommySnacks, @WriterMommy, @Onceamonthmom, @5DollarDinners, and @MoneyMethods, are picking me up on their way to Chicago.. Don’t worry, I have plenty of bargains lined up for you while I’m “away.”

While, I’m there, I will be tracking my steps as part of the Omron Overstep Your Bounds Challenge. I will be competing against four other bloggers for the opportunity to donate $5,000 to the charity of my choice! Omron has generously provided me with a new pedometer as well as paying for my conference ticket. I will be getting my WALK on as I’m in this to WIN! I know a certain Youth Club in my town that could use this donation. I’ll be giving you more details and a complete review on this new high tech pedometer when I get back from Blogher.

While I did not win the Cozi sponsorship, I’m using the Cozi Family Organizer to keep my Blogher schedule straight. It is so jammed packed, I found this at exactly the right moment. I will also be writing up a full review of it when I get back. Hopefully, it keeps my on schedule and where I’m suppose to go.

Check out what Angie @ BlogCoach is saying about my blog header. I didn’t realize “short headers” were a new trend. And to be honest, it really just kind of happened as I was looking for a cleaner, less busy look.  What do you think of the new look?

I plan on implementing a few more things to make it easier on the eyes and try to clean up my sidebars so they aren’t so busy/distracting.

Never heard of BlogCoach before? If you are a blogger or want to start blogging, BlogCoach.org is a great resource to grow your blog. I found this website within the first couple months of blogging but it would have been better to find it the first day I started blogging.

I do want to tell you if you are not clicking on the deal url’s you are missing out on an AWESOME FREE feature. It is called printable deals. It has been around for awhile but I wanted to remind new subscribers of this handy feature.

For all my weekly grocery store & drug store deals, you can click on that specific post and get a nice printable deal sheet, which makes YOUR shopping easier!

Here’s how you can utilize Printable Deals:

1. Click on the link to the specific deal you want to print from your email message or feed.

2. Now you are to that specific web page for that particular deal. You will see the purple printer. Click on the purple printer to get a printer friendly version.

3.  This is what the printable deals sheet looks like. It will save you time and ink/paper by printing in this version with no ads or sidebar information.

4. To print, simple click on File>Print Page or click on the “Click here to print”, which is available at the bottom right hand of the printable page.

You will then have a handy sheet you can take with you to the store and/or share with friends. (I’ve given my sheet to my cashiers at checkout because they are amazed by my savings!) You can read more about how I utilize this printable deal sheet at the bottom half of this post.

One more cool “Bargain Briana” feature is Deals on the Go. Maybe you are at the store and forgot the specifics of a deal because you didn’t print it out ;), if you have mobile web access on your phone, you can get the information quickly by visiting, m.bargainbriana.com. This mobile version is just the bare necessities with no extra graphics or side bar stuff so it is easy to navigate on your phone.

Go ahead an visit m.bargainbriana.com today, as you can send yourself a text message with the mobile link JUST IN CASE you need it while out and about. (Standard Text Message rates will apply.) I don’t suggest getting mobile web just for this feature as it can be costly but if you already have it, utilize it with deals on the go from Bargain Briana!
