I was buying the Old Navy & iTunes gift cards for ExtraBucks this week and the cashier told me that another customer was doing a deal with Paypal card to get $50 ExtraBucks! Here’s how it works: Load $150 on a Paypal Mastercard, pay $4.95 activation fee, and get $50 in ExtraCare bucks back! I was able to do this two times! You can use the Paypal Mastercard just like you would any other Mastercard to spend on the things you would be buying or use it to budget for your Black Friday shopping.
The Old Navy & iTunes gift card deal is valid through Weds. I don’t know how long the Paypal Mastercard deal will be active. Let me know if it works for you! It worked for me as of 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Do this deal before shopping for all the FREE after Extra Care deals this week to save on your out of pocket expenses! Then you will earn even MORE Extra Bucks! Woo hoo!!!
Update to add: Maura pointed out in the comments that there could be a $4.95/month fee. This is NOT considered a gift card so there are different rules. The back of the Prepaid Paypal Mastercard states “Monthly Account Maintenance Fee ($4.95) applies if Card Account is inactive for 90 days.” So you shouldn’t be charged that $4.95 fee if you use the card at least once every month. However, I don’t believe this to be true as once I activated my card, I was automatically charged $4.95 so I only had $145.05 on my card. I had already paid the $4.95 activation fee. It’s still a great deal with the $50 Extra bucks but otherwise, HECK NO – stay far far away!
To be on the safe side, I’m going to purchase Amazon gift cards with my Paypal Mastercard just so I don’t have to worry about it. I could see where this card would be really handy especially if you had a teenager that you wanted to give money to on a regular basis or if you didn’t want a credit card or debit card but still wanted to make purchases online.

I was in a local college this past week and needed a few things at CVS. So I stopped in the nearest CVS/pharmacy. I was surprised to see self-scanning machines as my stores don’t have these! There was about 4 of these and it was really easy to use but I didn’t use any coupons on this trip.
Does your store have these? Is it easy to use with coupons and Extra Bucks?
