    Hey Briana!

On the Glade I was able to get 2 Free by using the BOGO coupon, the $4.00 smartsource and the $4.00 Instant Value. Was surprised they let me use both the BOGO and SmartSource manufacturer coupons. But hey it worked, guess I got lucky with the cashier I had today :)

Today, I noticed for the first time signs in front of the Fructis products saying there was a limit of five per customer “to give everyone a chance to get the good deals”, which I totally agree with. My WAGS is also now adjusting the coupon amounts so there are no overages. They said otherwise it makes the cashier’s drawer total wrong. I understand this also, but it sems they are all of a sudden getting a little more savvy about all the coupon use.

I ran out to Walgreens on my lunch break to grab some of the Garnier, and they refused to let me use both the store and the manufacuter’s coupon – they said I had to choose one or the other. As Mindy mentioned, the issue seemed to be the “overage” but then they changed their story and said the Garnier company would only reimburse them for one *type* of coupon.

I’m stopping at a second WG on the way home. If the cashier seems flexible, I’ll suggest that she manually adjust the coupon price to 98 cents and see if that works!

Mindy – I’m kind of glad to see that as I hate to make a special trip and they are out of everything – especially when if it people just buying to resell at a garage sale or something!

Ayan – Trying giving your manufacturer’s coupon first and then your Walgreen’s coupon last. Your cashier is also incorrect in the thinking that Walgreens gets reimbursed for their own coupons! They only get reimbursed for coupons labeled “Manufacturer”. The other coupon is essentially a store sale.

Well, I stopped at a different Walgreens and was able to get the Garnier deal with no problem. I threw in two of the 2/$6 Kotex packages with two $1 coupons, and I’m donating the lot.

The lady who checked me out said that a woman had come in that morning and used – are you ready for this? – one! hundred! and! eight! Garnier coupons! and walked off with basically their entire stock. She showed me the pile in the cash register drawer and said grimly, “And I had to count EVERY coupon myself!”

She said that her manager told her next time to limit purchases to 5 items. Just goes to show there’s considerable variance in stores.

Even if she was donating them, I think that is a little bit much! I’ve never been to a Walgreens that had that much of anything in stock, though! :)

Can someone verify that the RR deals run all month long? I bought 8 of the Dove small (trial?) sizze deoderants today & no $10 RR spit out. Cashier said it was because the RR deal was for last week (when the coupon for the soap was in the paper). I also didn’t get a RR for my Dry Idea. Will be making a trip back to talk to the mgr & get my RR….but need proof.

Melissa – I’m not sure. I thought it was for last week only! I would have do a little research and see…

Well, yesterday was my best Walgreens haul yet! Each store seems to have their own personal list of clearance products, and I get the best coupon matches if I look for the orange tags. I got:
1 box Slimfast protein bars, 6-ct, on clearance for $1.79 (used $1.50/1)
    2 Secret Flawless 2.6-oz deodorants, on clearance for $2.59 (used 2x $2/1)
1 White Rain conditioner, clearance bin, twenty-five cents
2 Fructis shampoo, on sale for 99 cents (used 2x $1/1)
1 Fructis conditioner, on sale for 99 cents (used $1/1)
1 Fructis hairspray, on sale for 99 cents (used $1/1)

I paid $2.18 before tax! ($3.46 with tax.)

Thanks for all the work you put into this forum; I find this THE most useful coupon deal-seeking blog.
