Walmart doesn’t double coupons but they will price match the exact same item. Just take your ad with you and let them know at checkout the competitor’s ad price. (Some Walmart’s showcase competitor ads at the front of the store and already have it programmed into their system.)

Prices could vary by region. I also highly suggesting printing out the Walmart coupon policy and keeping it handy.

My daughter was met with the same issue at a Walmart near us today, and the cashier told her it actually IS taken out of their paycheck if they take a coupon and apply it mistakenly.

Gunga – I’ve had the EXACT same thing happen to me while trying to coupon at Walmart. I have also taken most of my business to Target. I only go to Walmart if there is something there that I know I can’t get anywhere else and most of the time I will just send my husband out to get it instead. I’ve found that the cashiers act like the money from the coupon is being taken out of their pay check. I’m an honest couponer and don’t need to be treated otherwise! :)
I hope you have better luck at Target!

The Walmart store near me scrutinizes, counts, checks (front and back), and rechecks, calls the CSM over, scrutinizes the product label comparing it to the coupon, and holds up the line while for 15 or 20 minutes making me look like I am trying to rip Walmart off everytime I try to use coupons to the point that I refuse to shop at Walmart if I can find what I need somewhere else. I have complained to the store manager, emailed the corporate office, and even given the associate who is checking me out a copy of Walmart’s coupon policy which I printed from the Walmart corporate website, but it doesn’t seem to get any better. I am taking my business to Target! You can have Walmart’s “deals”–it just is not worth it where I shop! Am I the only one with this problem??? My sister is a 10-year employee of another Walmart store, and she says it is ridiculous the way this one store conducts business when it come to coupons–hers doesn’t give customer trouble withthem; if the register accepts them, they accept them. I was even told I could not use an internet coupon because I had printed it in black and white instead of color. The manager was called over and he told the associate to accept the coupon and she argued with him!!! He finally told her that if there was a problem with it, he would accept responsibility for it–a $1 coupon!
