Where to find Red Plum & Smart Source Inserts

Reader Question:

I’m new at this so I need a little help… what is a Smart Source Insert, and a red plum insert?

Smart Source, Red Plum, General Mills, Kellogg’s, Proctor & Gamble are all Sunday Newspaper inserts. On Bargain Briana you will see an indication like 1-25 Smart Source Insert. This means the January 25th, Sunday Insert “Smart Source”. You can tell which insert is which by looking at the spine of the coupon insert. It will indicate on the spine the date, circulation area, and which coupon insert it is.

P.S. No coupon inserts this weekend 2/15. (Thanks a Frugal Friend for the reminder!)

You can get Red Plum mailed to you by going to http://www.valassis.com/1024/Contact/contact_home.aspx and clicking on the “Add” button on the left. No need to buy a paper!

My paper doesn’t have the Smart Source insert, is there a way I can request it by mail like Red Plum does?

After providing my exact mailing address, a Valassis rep informed me on the phone 1-19-11 that I can only receive grocery ads to my address and that coupon books/inserts can only be obtained through 1 of 3 Sunday papers in my area.

Ladies:

I am new at this website & couponing stuff. I too would like to know WHERE I can BUY THESE INSERTS??? I KNOW they come from Sunday’s paper!! That is not my question. I have been on the SMARTSOURCE website & it doesn’t help at all. please email me w/ any tips/advice at: giselamederos@yahoo.com
