finish pack shot lo res 300x232 NOW CLOSED: Win It: Green Giveaway Finish Quantum & Jet Dry Ends 5/1

I’ve used Finish (formerly known as Electrasol) products for many years because I can always get a good deal on these products and they work well. Finish has a new line called Finish Quantum, which delivers on “Leaving Nothing Behind But the Shine.”

The first thing I love about these dishwashing powerballs is there is no plastic wrapper to take off. Have you ever tried to open those things with slightly wet hands?  I end up using my teeth and then have a yucky cleaning taste in my mouth! Last time I purchased dishwashing tablets I accidentially bought those kind.

Besides being wrapper free, they are have a multi chamber system:

  • Powerball with Jet Dry Gel for SHINE
  • Powermax Bleach removes stains like tea and coffee
  • Powerful Enzymes soften burtn on food like lasagna

You may be scratching your head wondering why I’m calling this a green giveaway. You can save on energy by getting your dishes clean the FIRST time. If dishes come out dirty, you are going to have to rewash either by hand or in the dishwasher. Either way, you are using extra energy. So save time and energy by using a product that works the first time around.

jd turbo 199x300 NOW CLOSED: Win It: Green Giveaway Finish Quantum & Jet Dry Ends 5/1The other new product from Finish is Jet Dry Turbo Dry. Do you get annoyed because your dishes come out wet even when the cycle is complete? I didn’t even know they had a product that would help. But they do.  Just use the drying agent in your dishwasher’s rince aid dispenser and you can get that dishwasher unloaded faster and more efficiently!

Hope you picked up a Sunday Paper on 4/19/2009. There was a $2.50 off Finish in the Smart Source Insert. Many stores run $3 or less sale (like Meijer has this week) which make this a stock up deal!

Want to try it? I have (2) Prize Packages for (2) Lucky Readers. Each winner will receive a 12 ct. Finish and a bottle of Jet-Dry Turbo Dry.

I don’t have any dish washing tips but I do have a frustration that maybe these can solve my problems. Whenever I do not clean off every dish (literally, wipe off ANY food particles, which is like washing my dishes twice) tiny food particles get stuck to my glasses (or anything made of glass) on the top shelf. It is so frustrating. It’s completely hit or miss and I end up having to rewash them and sometimes even after the second time it’s still there so I have to waste more washing them by hand. I really would prefer not to have to wash every glass item I own (like half of my items!) by hand. I really do need a green makeover!!

My biggest frustration is that the dishes are always so wet even after the drying cycle. I never realized that this is the problem with the energy efficient dishwashers so I would love a product that takes care of this!

My biggest frustration? When my husband loads the dishwasher! I mean, I’m DELIGHTED he wants to help, but when things are stacked inefficiently and the dishwasher is run 1/2-1/3 full? I get a little annoyed. We’re working on it ;-)

My tip is to put a little white vinegar in the dishwasher when it is rinsing. I never have spots on my glasses because of this. It also keeps my dishwasher clean.

  • Tanya - April 23, 2009 @ 1:24 pm 23
My biggest frustration with my dishwasher lately are when the cycle is done I open up the door and notice several of the dishes have a film of soap left on them. Does not always happen just on occassion. Then I have to re-run those items through in the next load….Bummer!!

My bigggest frustration is when I open the door after the cycle is over and the door holding my electrosal tab is still closed. It never opened to release the soap so I just ran a whole cylce without the soap. It doesn’t happen every time but I hate that! I have no idea why it happens either.
  • Mandi Martin - April 23, 2009 @ 1:40 pm 25
I hate when both the plastic tubberware always comes out still wet, and when your sippy cup lids drop down to the bottom of the diswasher and get melted by the heated drying element! UHHH!

    Thanks!!
