Do you ever get frustrated with how cluttered your kitchen counter looks? From appliances to utensils, Organizing Your Kitchen Counters can be a tough task to take on. This year you can start off on a great note with your kitchen organized and ready to use. One of the best ways to save money and care for your family is to prepare meals at home, having a kitchen that is ready for you to do that with ease is important.
Organizing Your Kitchen Counters
Make It A No Paper Zone: Kitchen counters often become the place where mail, school notes and more end up being tossed at the end of the day. Make your kitchen counter a no paper zone. This may mean you have to setup a table or box somewhere else for this to work, but let everyone in your home know that paper is not to go on your kitchen counters any more.
Hang Items Under Cabinets: Under cabinet storage is a great way to save time and space. Things like K-Cups are easy to store in these simple under cabinet containers, but we also love using this area to hang our paper towel holder, or to store canisters and small appliances.
Invest In Multi-Purpose Appliances: Instead of having a hand mixer, pasta maker and blender, invest in something like the Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer, a Food Processor or a heavy duty Ninja Blender that will work for multiple purposes. Eliminate single use choppers, mixers or other items for the better multi-purpose appliances instead. This takes up less room while getting the job done with ease.
Store Food In Pantry: Instead of having random snacks on your counter, create a designated shelf in the pantry to store things like fruit snacks, crackers, dried fruit, granola bars and more. This will keep your kitchen counter clean, but give your kids a handy place to find snacks.
Use Hanging Baskets For Produce: This is a great way to keep your counters clear, but your produce handy. These hanging baskets are great for storing fruit, vegetables and more easily and out of the way in your kitchen. Hang them in the window, from the ceiling or in your pantry to keep food handy, but out of the way.
Organizing your kitchen counters keeps the clutter to a minimum all while keeping everything you need handy at your fingertips. Set yourself up for success by taking this week to organize your kitchen counters, and declutter your kitchen.
My kitchen counters can get out of control during the week. Right now, there are multiple papers spread out all over the place and a few random items on the counter but for the most part, they aren’t too out of control. I am going to remove my coffee maker from my counter since I haven’t been using it. The papers also need to get under control. There are some things that are just staying on the counter because it is much more convenient for them to be on the counters inside of hidden away. I will get to work and share my after pictures with you later in the week!
