{NOW CLOSED} Back to School Giveaway: Texas Instruments TI-Nspire Graphing Calculator Giveaway Package

August 18, 2010 by Briana Carter

Math nerds like me will love this giveaway and this calculator! The TI-Nspire Calculator is a calculator that does it all and is a calculator that will follow your child from Middle School through College. Not only is this calculator valuable for math classes, it is one that can be used for Biology through Physics as well.

Back in the day, I had a Texas Instruments calculator that lasted me from Algebra to College level Calculus course. I would have absolutely flipped over the TI-Nspire + the Software. Do assignments in class on the calculator and then continue at home using the software on your computer. You can then save, print, store, and send to manage your documents.

This calculator is really a 3-in-1: A graphing calculator, software package, and a T84 plus keypad (available by mail in rebate).

The touchpad gives the TI-Nspire an almost mouse like feel. The TI-Nspire is permitted on the SAT, AP, ACT, IB, PSAT/NSMQT, and Praxis as well as many state tests!

Wouldn’t it be great to surprise your student with this fabulous learning tool! Texas Instruments wants to give one Bargain Briana reader a fantastic giveaway package!

Texas Instruments Giveaway Package:

  • TI-Nspire Graphing Calculator with Touchpad ($139.99)
  • 60 minutes of FREE tutoring help from Tutor.com ($34.99)
  • Math Rocks T-Shirts ($12)
  • Water Bottle ($8)
  • Cell Phone Charm ($5)

You know, at one time I used to really love math and be a bit of a nerd about it, but that sort of ended for me at the end of high school (with calculus). My husband, on the other hand, is TOTALLY a math nerd. He teaches math and loves to do math problems for fun (even though it is already his job). He never liked math in school (until college), so we are like the exact opposites in that regard.

I’ve never been that great at Math. We could have used this calculator the early 80$ when I graduated.

When I was in middle and high school, I was placed in advanced math, but I should have been in regular math classes because I always struggled to keep up with other kids. I was never confident in my math skills and that has carried over into my adulthood.
