My kids love cheese. Their favorite is to a take a string cheese in their lunch or for a snack. This is a healthy snack that I keep in stock all the time for the kids to grab when they are hungry. Trust me, these active kids are hungry all the time.
We also do macaroni and cheese quite often. While my kids really love the Kraft Macaroni & Cheese in the blue box, I often make homemade macaroni cheese with Kraft Natural Shredded Cheese. This is always a meal that everyone in the family will enjoy. From the vegetarian to the picky eaters to the two that will eat almost anything I cook. It is very difficult to find one meal that is easy and that will make everyone happy in my household. Plus, I love it because I can easily cook it in my slow cooker!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups uncooked macaroni, cooked per directions
- 2 cups Kraft Sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cups Kraft Colby Jack cheese, shredded
- 3 Tablespoons butter
- 1 cup milk
Cook macaroni per directions. Layer noodles, then cheese in the slow cooker until you have used all the cheese and macaroni. Then top with butter and pour milk over your mixture. Cook on low for about 2 – 2.5 hours.
This is an easy dinner or lunch for me to feed the kids, which I’m extremely thankful on the the super busy extra curricular activity nights!
