We are going to talk about a taboo subject – Lice. There is nothing to be embarrassed about because anyone can get lice. The problem because an issue when people don’t inform others that their child could have been exposed to lice. People will appreciate that you are proactive and letting them know that your child had lice on X date when Susie was playing with Jane so they can keep their eyes out and if their child starts itching, they can get right on treating the infestation.
A few years ago, I spent quite a bit of time with a Mission Group in Guatemala doing lice checks and treatments for kids who were infected, very heavily I might add with lice. Since then, I haven’t been as petrified of lice. Though, I still would prefer it not be brought into our home because it’s time consuming and pocket draining to treat it properly. Have you ever priced lice treatment products? They are shockingly quite expensive even for the store brand products.
Elementary and pre-school aged children are the most likely to get lice. Which shouldn’t surprise most of us because they are the kids that are hanging all over each other and share hats and headbands and such without thinking twice about it. I recently saw some pictures of kids on a school field trip and I cringed seeing the girls hair touching while posing for a picture. So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that the majority of the 12 million cases reported annually are within that age group.

We are currently using the product from this line that gets rid of lice. It works so much better than the old drug store stuff and doesn’t burn at all. I trust them and plan to use these products once we make it through this.
