This summer, I’m going to try to share as many FREE or cheap things we find to do with our kids this summer! I’m new to vlogging but I am excited I was able record and edit this video all via the FREE Splice app on my iPhone!
Wednesday was the kids first day off from school and also a day that I don’t work at the office. My daughter had an appointment in Kokomo so I thought it would be nice to find something FREE to do while she was at her appointment. It just so happened the Jackson Morrow Park was around the corner.
We packed a picnic lunch with sandwiches, cheese & crackers, fresh strawberries, and entire cooler of drinks! There were a couple of school field trips going on at the park at the time, which probably made it more fun for my kiddos!
We brought a couple of basketballs but the goals were across the park and we didn’t make it over there in our limited time. There was also a nice wide open area if you wanted to bring a soccer ball, kick ball, frisbee, or play catch. For adults, there is also a walking trail that I saw many people using even as the day got hotter.
Stay tuned as we share the FREE things we find this summer. We will also share some tips on how to save when you do pay for fun! :)
