How to Make Homemade Bath Paint

September 27, 2013 by Briana Carter

Homemade Bath Paint

Are your kids getting bored and need something new and fun to do? One fun thing that you can try (with items you probably already have on hand!) is to make Homemade Bath Paint! This fun bath paint is non-toxic, and the best part is that it’s very easy to wash right down the drain when you are finished with it. Here’s how to put it together.

Homemade Bath Paint

Ingredients:

  • Shaving Cream (You may want to use a sensitive skin kind)
  • Tempura Paint (in various colors)

Fill a small bowl with some of the shaving cream and a little bit of paint. You will use about one teaspoon of paint for every cup of shaving cream.

Place each color in plastic bowls or together like a paint palate on a plate and give your kids some cheap paint brushes and let them have fun!

Once they are done painting and done with the bath, simply wash the paint off the tub and the shower and everything will just go right down the drain. No paint residue left on your shower!

If your kids aren’t wanting to paint pictures, have them use the paints to play tic tac toe on the shower walls.

For other color fun in the tub, freeze some food coloring in ice cubes and let your kids have them in the tub, as they drop them into the water they will change the color of the water. Have them drop colors together (such as a red and a blue) so they can see how they will turn the water purple.

Need more tub fun? Try making Bathtub Snow! Simple mix baking soda and water together to make a paste and form “snowballs”. They will be cool just like real snow and bonus…they will also clean your tub at the same time!

What are some fun bathtub games you have for your kids?
