Lunchables Field Trips for All

April 14, 2010 By: Briana Carter1 Comment

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Lunchables. All opinions are 100% mine.

Field trips help engage children’s mind beyond the classroom setting and . Recently, my son whipped out some random fact about our country government that he learned on a school field trip. Impressive but I doubt he would have remembered had it been in a traditional classroom setting. With budget shortfalls and funding eliminations, schools are facing hard times. Field trips may be one of the first things to be cut in some school districts.

According to the American Association of School Adminstrators over the course of the current school year (2009), the number of school districts eliminating field trips will increase by 56%. This means more than 30,000 schools will be eliminating school field trips.Tough decisions for schools are happening all over the country.

Lunchables wants to help.

A new initiative called Project Potential from Lunchables Lunch Combinations is working towards empowering children with opportunities to help them reach their full potential by providing enrichment activities such as educational field trips these children may not have already had. The first outreach via Project Potential is call Field Trips For All, which will be giving out 50 FREE Field trips nationwide to a deserving classroom.

Briana – I would love the opportunity to register my daughter’s classroom but we live in Maryland. The form to register has Maine (ME) listed twice and no Maryland (MD). :-(
