Back in the day when I was in college, they didn’t have all these cool tools for school. Find extra long dorm sheets or comforter? Back in the day, good luck with that. Luckily for the college students of today, Sears is looking out for them with a nice selection of XL twin sheets and comforter sets from Colormate.
Last month, I was suppose to attend the Kmart/Sears Home Summit in Chicago but due to a family emergency, my son being in the hospital for a couple of days, I didn’t think it was wise again to leave town so soon. The good folks at Sears were still kind enough to send me some samples of their new products. I love the fun look of the designs and the best part is the sheet set is priced at just $19.99 (on sale this week for $14.99) and starting at just $29.99 (on sale this week for $19.99) for a twin XL comforter set. So these products are not just cute, they are very affordable.
In addition to these college bound designed products, Sears is offering a fun yet functional Facebook application called CampusReady
By using the Sears Facebook CampusReady App. Use the Gift Getter, to register for the gift you need/want and send your registery to friends and family. I know as a gift giver to college students, this would be very handy to know what they need.
Rooming with someone you don’t know? I did my first semester at college and it was not a pleasant experience. Try out the Roommate Matchup on Facebook to get to know your roommate a little better before heading off to campus.
My favorite tool, though, is the Dorm Room Designer. With the Dorm Room Designer, you can design your dorm room and get a visual picture of what it will look like. You can decorate in 3D with lamps, seating, televisions, and the new bedding before you order it.

Just wanted to say thank you for all the work you do to save us money.
I went to the Kokomo library sale this past weekend and was so excited to buy 40+ books on cd. My husband and I travel back and forth to Alabama a lot and these help pass the time. I would never have known about it had I not read your blog.
Thank You Again,
Sandy
