Description
This is perfect for a family oatmeal bar! Have many of toppings and flavorings on hand. Blueberries, strawberries, brown sugar, maple syrup, walnuts, raisins, flaxseed, and cinnamon are just a few ideas!

- 1 cup steel cut oats
- 2 cups of water
- 2 cups of milk
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- Toppings per taste – ie, brown sugar, maple sugar, agave syrup, raisins, blueberries, walnuts, apples etc.
Instructions
- Combine steel cut oats, water, and sea salt in slow cooker.
- Cook overnight or for around 8 hours on low.
- In the morning you may need to add a little milk if it is too thick.
- Add flavoring in the morning. I added 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 1/4 cup of maple sugar to make my son’s favorite flavor. I added walnuts and blueberries to mine.
Notes
I used 2 cups milk and 2 cups water. You could do 4 cups of water or a 4 cups of milk depending on how you like your oatmeal.
