Fresh Zucchini Recipes
Zucchini is a vegetable that even novice gardeners can easily grow in your garden. It is a summer squash that is treated as a vegetable yet botanically is a fruit. Zucchini is usually served cook and can be prepared in a variety of ways including steamed, boiled, grilled, stuffed, baked, fried, or added to a multitude of different types of recipes. You can even add it to your baking! {Check out these 50 Mouth Watering Zucchini Recipes.} There is even a tool that will help you create your own no-carb pasta with vegetables such as zucchini.
There is no need to remove the skin from the zucchini when cooking, even when adding it to your baked goods. Though, the last time I made banana zucchini bread, I did peel the outer layer just so my youngest children wouldn’t know there was a – eek – vegetable in their delicious bread. It worked perfectly as my daughter argued with others that it was just banana bread and it was good. Let’s not tell her about the healthy vegetable her mother added to the sugar-filled bread.
Since it is one of the easiest vegetables to cultivate, it can take over your garden. Some suggest to harvest the flowers to take control of your zucchini harvest. I had to cut the leaves back on my plant so they wouldn’t overshadow the peppers. My harvest has still be plentiful.
