VERDI Olives are now importing their olives directly from Italy and shipping in this cool 35 oz tray packs to Costco locations in the Midwest including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, and Minnesota. This is the perfect size for your holiday party!

I’m not a huge olive fan so I was happy to know these VERDI Castelvetrano Olives are a milder, buttery olive. Kind of salty and sweet if that makes sense! Pair these bright green olives with mozzarella balls, drizzle with olive oil and skewer on a toothpick (maybe something fancier!) for a easy appetizer.

VERDI harvest only the finest DOP-certified Olives from Sicily’s countryside. For those of you, like me, who don’t know what DOP-certified means, Wikipedia says:

The purpose of the DOP mark  is to protect the reputation of the regional foods, promote rural and agricultural activity, help producers obtain a premium price for their authentic products, and eliminate the unfair competition and misleading of consumers by non-genuine products, which may be of inferior quality or of different flavour.
