Honey Garlic Shrimp is that one recipe that is not only easy to prepare, but is a healthy protein that presents beautifully. The combination of fresh ginger, garlic, honey, and Tamari sauce make this recipe a richly flavored meal that steals the show.
- 1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup Tamari sauce
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon fresh ginger (I like to use the gourmet herbs brand to make it easy! :)
1 lb uncooked shrimp peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
Stir together first four ingredients. Pour half of the marinade mixture on the shrimp and marinate for at least 15 minutes but I like to do overnight.
Heat oil in a skillet.
Remove shrimp from marinade, discard marinade.
Cook a couple of minutes on each side until cooked through.
Add in rest of marinade and cook an additional minute.
Serve with steamed broccoli and rice. Also can use in tacos.
