Description

Honey Garlic Shrimp is that one recipe that is not only easy to prepare, but is a healthy protein that presents beautifully.  The combination of fresh ginger, garlic, honey, and Tamari sauce make this recipe a richly flavored meal that steals the show.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Tamari sauce

  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin

  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic

  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (I like to use the gourmet herbs brand to make it easy! :)

  • 1 lb uncooked shrimp peeled and deveined

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Stir together first four ingredients. Pour half of the marinade mixture on the shrimp and marinate for at least 15 minutes but I like to do overnight.

  2. Heat oil in a skillet.

  3. Remove shrimp from marinade, discard marinade.

  4. Cook a couple of minutes on each side until cooked through.

  5.  Add in rest of marinade and cook an additional minute.

  6. Serve with steamed broccoli and rice. Also can use in tacos.
