My favorite radio station has been having their annual marathon where they raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation. It is truly amazing to hear the stories of these brave children with life threatening medical conditions. It brings tears to my eyes while listening and makes me truly appreciate my family is fortunate to not have to deal with the daily struggles of these medical conditions. I can not imagine their struggles!
We as a blogging and twitter community now have another way to help. LeapFish and Make-a-Wish Foundation have teamed up with twitter users through Make-a-Wish Tweet-a-Cause to help a ill child’s dream to go to Disneyland.
Jacob, who is just age 4, has been coping with a rare and life threatening disease, Atresia, since birth. His wish is to go to Disneyland with his family. LeapFish wants to make this possible.
LeapFish will donate 5 cents per tweet to the Make-A-Wish Foundation until $10,000 has been raised and the child along with his family can go to Disneyland. This is 100,000 tweets people!
The Make-a-Wish Foundation has granted over 174,000 children with life threatening medical conditions wishes across the country. They have an Adopt a Wish program, where a donor, such as LeapFish, can cover the entire cost of the a child’s wish. To make more people aware of the Adopt-a-Wish program throughout the social media community, LeapFish is sponsoring the Make-a-Wish Tweet-a-Cause.
The campaign will run until November 27, 2009 with Leapfish matching each Tweet with 5 cents to get to the target of $10,000! Will you help Jacob and his family get to Disneyland by visiting LeapFish.com/MakeAWish
