Recently, I shared some tips on organizing your kitchen counters as part of the 52 Weeks to a More Organized Home/Life series.
My kitchen counters are now as organized as they will be for awhile. I’ve cleared out the unnecessary clutter and feel a little better about my counters. There is still daily, ongoing work to keep the papers under control.
There is often a debate on whether you keep appliances on the counters or not. I’ve opted to keep the toaster on the counter and the rest are in cabinets. I’ve put the coffee maker up completely since I haven’t been using it lately. This cleared up space as well.
We have a small charging station in the kitchen. This would probably look better in the office or laundry room but since it is often used, I decided to keep it in the kitchen. Along with the charging station, I have a little organizing which I keep a binder full of our favorite recipes to keep on hand quickly.
As a reminder, here is the before picture:
How did you do on your counters?
