I was sent a few of these Pouchie Bags and was impressed by their style choices and quality. They are the perfect solution for those wanting to reduce plastic that goes into landfills. This Greenville, South Carolina based company’s goal is to provide a a fun and creative alternative to plastic bags.

What is a Pouchie Bag? Pouchie bags are reusable sandwich and snack bags to replace plastic bags. These bags can be used for so many purposes and are  nylon lined to make them leak resistant. The sandwich sized bags have a pocket with a matching napkin in it to be used for wiping off hands, drying hands, or cleaning up other messes on the go.

  56. Snacks! I’m on weight watchers and always try to carry healthy snacks with me, would be great to have a place to put the snacks, besides my purse or plastic bags.

  131. These are really a great idea for school lunches!! We pack our lunches everyday for work and school, it would be fun to have something different inside our lunch boxes. Our lunches would be the envy of all our friends :)

  150. I’m the girl that hand washes my plastic baggies to reduce waste! These would be such a more durable (and cute!) option for me. I would use these for all my tiny art pieces that are currently organized with baggies!

  157. I would use the pouchies to hold small toys. I work with young children, who have a variety of special needs. Pulling the velcro and manipulating one hand inside the pouch, while holding it with the other can encourage the development of the children’s fine motor and sensory processing skills.
    I could also use a couple to hold snacks for my little ones and pacis for my littlest guy!

  293. These Pouchie bags seem like a great alternative to plastic sandwich bags! If I got my hands on some of these, I’d definitely begin using them for lunch or snacks at work! I love how festive they look, and I love the fact that they’re easy on the environment! Based on some of the images I’ve seen, they’d also be really cute for storing makeup.

  300. I would use Pouchies for SNACKS! I’m so sick of using plastic baggies for teddy grahms, crackers, or dry cereal, then throwing the bag (which is clean, other than the dry crumbs) away (in the recycle bin, of course.) I feel like it’s just part of my grocery budget getting thrown straight into the trash (er, recycle bin.)! It’s infuriating!

    I was thinking about maybe making my own reusable bags, but I’m not sure what materials are food-safe. PUL? I think Pouchies sound like a much better solution!
