Black Friday will be here soon enough. If you are planning to venture out and fight the crowds to do some Black Friday shopping, you might need a strategy to follow in order to achieve success. Check out these shopping tips to help you out.
Black Friday Shopping Tips
Take Some Friends
When you do your Black Friday shopping, go in a group. Take a few friends with you and put your heads together to figure out how to make the most of your shopping trip. Plan out who will try to snag which bargains at various stores. Since you have more than one person shopping, one can go to one side of the store while another goes to a different area to get the deals you’re after.
Use Walkie Talkies
If you have them, use walkie talkies to communicate with each other while you are in stores. These will be easier than using cell phones and you will be able to keep everyone informed of what the whole group is doing.
Know What You Want
Before you venture into any stores, know what you want. Use sale fliers to decide which bargains you are hoping to snag and make sure you know which discounted items you are shopping for before you shop. Make a list so you don’t forget anything. Know which items are absolute musts and which ones are the “If I can grab it, great” items.
Fill Your Cart
When you find the bargain you are interested in, put it in your cart and be sure to guard your cart so no one removes it. This is another area where an extra person will come in handy. Even if you’re not positive you want the item, put it in your cart anyway. Remember, you can always choose to put items back if you change your mind or decide you don’t need it, but you can’t go back and grab something that is already gone.
Try to Shop Later
If it is not absolutely necessary for you to snag early bird bargains, try shopping a little later after some of the more enthusiastic crowds have cleared out. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of bargains on Black Friday and lots of people out, but instead of going super early when everyone is scrambling to grab items, go a little later.
Dress for Comfort
Wear comfortable shoes and clothes for your Black Friday shopping excursion. Since you might be spending a lot of time on your feet and rubbing elbows with numerous people, you will want to be comfortable.
Bring Snacks in Your Purse
Throw a few portable snacks in your purse. A small package of almonds or a granola bar or two will help you keep your energy up as you shop. It might be hard to drop what you’re doing and go eat if your blood sugar drops a little, so be sure to have some snacks on hand.
Plan your strategy before you venture out on Black Friday. Having a plan will help you achieve success without as much stress.
