My way of organizing is just to write things down before I shop, having something that would make it convenient to add things as I run out would rock!

I have a little black zippered notebook type day planner it just has a tablet on one side and the other side can hold my cards (debit, id’s, etc…) I keep it by my side and when I am cooking or meal planning I will write down what I need on the tablet and then it is all right there when I go to the store. It works really well for me.

My wife organizes the grocery list for me.
Moreover, just as I am going to hand my card to the shopkeeper, I always get a call from her with a request for something she had forgotten.
I politely ask people standing behind me in the queue to wait just one more minute, and I sprint through the whole store just to grab something that’s by the nature of this universe ALWAYS lies at the furthest corner.

this is my first time reading your blog, and so far i like what i see. as far as orginize my grocery list.. i have like 20 because i always forget where i put the last one and start all over and then end up having to throw away tons of scrap paper with scribbles and stuff all over it cause i doodle on the paper when i cant remember what i need. i use coupons so sometimes its a hassle when i have a ton of papers with different things and i cant remember what i actually need so i end up over buying or i forget to buy what i actually went to the store for in the first place. so yes.. i am a mess when it comes to grocery shopping. this product looks amazing and i could really use one.. thanks for posting it.

I currently organize my grocery list “on paper.” I make a list of recipes for 3-5 days, handwrite my list, and bring it along with me to the grocery store. It’s not the best process, but it’s better than shopping without a list!
I love that the SmartShopper “categorizes” your items. That would really make my grocery shopping experience more pleasant. I hate it when I get through the whole store only to realize I forgot the [fill-in-the-blank].
Oh, did I mention I hate grocery shopping? When I’m rich and famous, I’m going to have my groceries delivered to my door. But until then…I think the Smart Shopper would make that chore less “painful.”

Well I relied a lot on family and friends for the past 10 months to remind me of things that I needed done. I fell last March and bounced my head off the thick Ice in my drive way I landed completely on my head and couldn’t hear for about an hour or so and didn’t walk right for a few days do to a concussion and since then I have had trouble remembering things. My co-worker and good friend would call me to remind me of schedules and such to keep me on track and my family would call me on my cell to remind me what to pick up and a few other close friends called me all the time to remind me to do this or that. They all knew I couldn’t remember stuff at all so they did their best to keep me straight.I’m much better but still very forgetful so I stick a sticky to my visor in my car and every time I run out of something that I need to pick up I add it to the sticky note. Then in the next day or so I pull the sticky off run into the store and pick up what’s on the list. Of course if I’m in the house when I think of something we need and don’t run out to my car to write it down I end up forgetting to put it on the list. Then I end up making a special trip to the store. Today it was for Cat Food. I guess my method isn’t full proof yet lol , It’s better since I used to have to run to the store 2 or 3 more times for forgetting items now it’s only about once a week. This would be wonderful because I could keep it on me at all times and use it for remembering everything not just my grocery list. Thanks for Sharing~

My husband actually does th grocery shopping and we keep a small pad of paper on the kitchen table and when I think of something we need, I write it on the list. The problem is that he likes a different list for each store and sometimes what I write doesn’t get put on the right list. This is an ongoing problem for us so the Smart Shopper could really make our lives easier! Thank you for the chance to win!

My shopping is spread out throughout the week. It helps me to get out of the house everyday so I don’t get in that “stay in my nightgown all day and don’t shower” stage. So on Sunday, I go out and buy my newspapers and come home and clip coupons. Monday is Meijer day. I print off what I need from Grocery Game, match up my coupons, then head out. Tuesday is my Kroger day. Same thing, Grocery Game, match coupons, head out. Wednesday I usually run to Walgreens just for the fun of it. I check out their discount section. On Friday if there’s a special $5 off $20 coupon or something from Walgreens, I’ll head back there.

I currently organize my grocery list? Because nobody told me! Sometimes I look at the ad online and get a tiny index card and write a few things down. Then I leave the index card by my computer until I finally throw it away. Sometimes when I’m in the kitchen I say to myself over and over “Garlic salt, garlic salt, garlic salt” like I’m calling Beetlejuice or something. I often hope this will help me remember it when I’m at the store.
Usually, I pretty much walk around the store picking up what I want and stocking up on things on a great sale. I don’t plan meals, can you tell?

I have a magnetic pad of paper on the fridge & when I run out of something, I write it down right away. Then on the actual shopping day, I gather my coupons, write everything down on the back of an envelope in order of where it is in the store, and away I go. Thanks for the chance!

I always try to make a list then I keep my coupons with the list an dthen my purse gets to full of stuff and I end up pulling the list and coupons out and put them in my console in the truck on the way to the store thwn when we get there there has already been way to much drama to get everyone out and into the store that I forget the list and coupons and tehn I just wing it and spend way to much and get the things taht we do not need and forget the things we do, it is a no ending cycle! Thsi would stay in my purse all the time!

I have postits, lists, grocery lists, more lists left on white board in kitchen (by kids for their requests) – then I try and compile it all into one master list – then check against that weeks circular for deals, check my coupons, attach if I have them – and off to the store I go… WHEW! It always happens that I miss some post it or list someone in this house left (where I couldn’t see it of course!) and then have to return to the store for those items! UGH!
My grocery shopping needs some serious organization!

Great review and demo! I gotta get one of these darn things. I love that you can create two separate lists if want to keep track of your errands or grocery items separately.

My current list system is to rush to write down everything I need on a piece of paper right before I leave for the grocery store. Not exactly the best system, I know. It would be great if I win this, because I need some extra organization.

Groceries…I love and yet I dread. I have a meal plan that I’ve created in excel with recipes and their related content…however I’ve struggled to organize a corresponding grocery list! :( My husband gets a word document sent to him every once in a while, begging him to pick up the stuff I found in the Meijer ad. I am in need of help! Thanks so much for the opportunity! :)
Elsie
I organize my lists for different grocery categories on different color post-it notes, all clipped together…I really need help! Sometimes I lose one paper on the way to the car, misplace one in the store on a shelf somewhere, drop one in the parking lot puddle, can’t read one with scribbles I made long ago…. If I win, the prize organizer would have a “wonderful appreciative newly-organized owner”!!

Organize my grocery list? Whatever does THAT mean? Right now I sometimes keep a list on a dirty piece of napkin that floats around the kitchen and office until lost and I have to remember what was on it. Then I loose THAT, and have to re-remember again. Sometimes I loose that piece of paper TOO, and have to re-re-remember what was on my list. Every once in awhile, I print about 25 pages of supposed “great deals” off the internet for Safeway and Walmart and sit for about three hours with my coupons to see if I have what it takes to participate, while making a list. I’ll throw in a 5 minute meal list for the next week and whatever my husband has been shouting that we need (ugh, interupting my private coupon time again…dear grrrowl) and take that sucker to the store.
No one, I mean NO ONE can interpret my grocery list but me! muhahahaaaaaw

I use what ever scrap of paper is on my desk that is large enough after correcting the kids school for the day. Sometimes this is just the left over paper from when I print online coupons. Otherwise I cut out adds and then just put them in a envelope to remind me of what is on sale and the price. If I have a coupon, I staple it to the add. Works good till I drop the stack on the floor and the kids and I have to pick them all up and try to organize them again as to store layout. This would work great for a person like me:)

I write my grocery store list in a 3×5 memo book. I attach coupons for that store to a 3×3 piece of paper and put in an envelope. My drug store list are on a 3×3 piece of paper with coupons in another envelope. Other coupons are in envelopes by catagory. It kind of works for me except I must look at all the envelopes in all the stores so I don’t miss a sale or coupon. The SmartShopper would save me a lot of time making my list and shopping. Thanks!

Right now, my kindergardner makes out the list. He uses phonics to make the list and whatever he has that’s handy to write with. I try and do the shopping because DH thinks everything has to be spelled correctly and he freakes if he can’t figure something out. I just skip it if neither son can figure out what it was. Oh, if we win we’ll still be able to use the groceries for practice. We have to do exercises to strenghten the hands!

I watched your demo…what an awesome find!!
I like how it lets you add an item not originally found, and even better how you can add your errands to the top of you grocery list. NICE!!!

I organize my grocery list according to the aisles in the store. I only have 2 stores to pick from so I use both sides of a piece of paper for each store and then list items as I would find them in the store. The only glitch is when the store decides to rearrange the aisles…then it is challenging especially when you put the coupons in order by aisles also!!!
Thanks for the chance!!

I am afraid I have to admit I keep my lists on whatever scrap of paper is readily available. Then I seem to lose the paper all too easily. This sounds like a great answer to the problem!

I read your article (I’d watch it but my kids are still sleeping ;)). VERY cool product. I wanted one before but now I want one even more!

Currently I organize my list by type of food. So produce goes together, dairy goes together, etc.

Grocery list? I’ve always flew at the seat of my pants with shopping based on my memory. Now that I started couponing I really just look for the freebies and if I read about a really good deal on a blog I just pull the coupon and put it in my zipper pocket of “smart coupons”. That’s about it for my grocery list.
