I can’t believe what a great week of deals Walgreens is having! I didn’t have time to write them up this week but there still is time to get in on the deals until 9/13! The two Walgreens I visited were AWESOME about coupons. I was told by the manager to give them my $10/$40 first even before coupons were applied! So YAY! You will see how in transaction #2 that helped! They also didn’t limit me to a certain number of register rewards to use in Transaction #2. Fabulous Walgreens! I will be visiting those two stores more often!!!

If you roll your gift cards, into more Easy Saver Rebates, you can kind of do like CVS and have very little out of pocket. Obviously, you have to plan it right and sometimes be patient if you don’t have a gift card. One thing I do like is when the new online system of submitting your Easy Savers Rebates, you will get your gift cards much faster especially if you just do a gift card reload!

Sorry to see that it’s happening to you too, Linda. I’m glad you mention your experiences at CVS.
In the six years that I have lived in Indiana, I’ve been in CVS maybe a dozen times. I really didn’t care for them because everything seem to be priced much higher.
However, I think for the deals I’ve been seeing, I am willing to give CVS the love. :)

I’m a newbie and I’m about to give up on Walgreens. My store will not let you use more than one coupon per item per transaction and they discourage multiple transactions. They also will not let you stack Walgreens coupons and manufacturer coupons. When I tried to buy Chex Mix with a $1.00 coupon the register beeped so the cashier called a manager. When I asked her to adjust the coupon she refused. I live in a small town and the next nearest Walgreens is forty miles away so I guess I will not be getting the great deals I read about in your blog at Walgreens. CVS however is wonderful so I will do more shopping there.
Sheila
For a newbie, I am finding Walgreens very frustrating.
The store by my house insists that I can only use one coupon per item per transaction.
I had 2 Chex Mixs today, among a few other items. I had 1 coupons for the Mix and was told you “It will only accept 1 coupon.” So I told the cashier to do a second transaction. It beeped at her again, and she went to hand it back to me, I looked at her and told her “It’s probably beeping again because the coupon is for more than the Mix, you need to manually enter it for the price of the Mix. ” Which worked, but I got major attitude.
I see so many people post about their awesome deals and using multiple coupons but my Walgreens apparently hates me. It doesn’t matter the cashier, if I have multiples I get the same problem.
I guess I will try the Walgreens that’s about 3 miles down the road from now on, instead of the one I can walk to.

LOL! I’m thinking about just doing 2 different trips tomorrow…. one first thing in the morning then a 2nd one after lunch. But the problem is that the same lady is always working and she knows me so I feel guilty! Especially as I’m handing her all my coupons each time….

I went to two different stores…they were about 4 miles away from each other. LOL! around here they are pretty much on every corner!! :)

When you did 2 separate transactions — did you do them one after another during the same shopping trip? Or did you come back later? thanks!
