Have you ever looked on your coffee table and found dozens of magazines you didn’t know you had ordered? We all fall victim to the hot deals on magazine subscriptions from time to time, so Organizing Your Magazine Subscriptions is indeed something you may need to do. As the holidays are close to arriving, this is the perfect time to sort through existing magazines and look into canceling subscriptions or renewing with some of the great deals to be had right now.
Organizing Your Magazine Subscriptions
Decide Which You Want To Continue Receiving: Sometimes we end up with a free subscription to something we don’t really care for. Occasionally we will order a magazine that we think we will love, but in the end just don’t find useful. Go through all of your current magazines and divide by what you wish to continue getting and what you don’t care for.
Find Expiration Dates: Most magazines will have a website or telephone number you can contact to find out when your subscription expires. Make a master list of all of the magazines you currently receive, and when their subscription will expire. Keep this list handy so you know when you need to call and renew if they do not have an auto-renewal feature.
Set Auto-Renewal Of Magazines You Wish To Keep: For magazines that you wish to continue receiving, check with the company and request an auto-renewal. If you are ordering your magazines through Amazon this is very simple to set up. Make note on your calendar for the next year of the date that will be charged so there won’t be any surprises.
Cancel Auto-Renewal Of Magazines You Don’t Want: For magazines that are set up with auto-renewal but you don’t really care to continue receiving, give them a call to cancel. Most companies will try to convince you to stay with their magazine, or up sell another or different magazine.
Take Advantage Of Holiday Deals: If you are interested in new or different magazines, the holiday season is the best time to take advantage of great deals on magazines for under $5 a year on Amazon as well as with Best Deal Magazines.
Organizing your magazine subscriptions is one great way to save money in your entertainment budget. Those little $10-$20 per year subscriptions can easily add up to a few hundred dollars you have been wasting if you aren’t using the magazines. With every aspect of home organization this year, our focus isn’t just about getting your physical home in order, but also to help your financial budget stay organized/
