Sara Lee and Hillshire Farms have always been family favorites in our household. They offer a wide variety of high quality meats, cheeses, and breads. They have joined together to create a website to help you with your holiday festivities called Tasty Holidays.

Tasty Holidays has many recipes and tips to help make you family holiday special. In addition, submit pictures or write an entry telling how Sara Lee and Hillshire Farms have made your holiday special at Tasty Holidays and you can be the winner of a $500 Walmart Gift Card.

in our family, it seems like cocktail links in sauce is always a hit. Actually, it is usually one of the few things the kids will actually eat at holiday dinners. Guess, what, they are also so simple to make.

You will only need these three ingredients:

  • 1 Package Hillshire Little Smokies Cocktail Links
  • 1 jar chili sauce
  • 1 jar grape jelly

Usually, we just "dump" all of the ingredients into a crockpot and we are set to go. Very easy, popular, and inexpensive appetizer for holiday functions. Lit'l Smokies are fully cooked, so you can quickly warm them up in any dish.

While browsing Tasty Holidays, I came across a couple of recipes I may try this year, like the Lil Smokies Skewers. It is a little different than the normal cocktail inks. If you want to lighten it up, try the Turkey Lit'l Smokies, which has 2/3 less fat than regular Lit'l Smokies. My kids also like to eat the cheddar Lit'l Smokies as well!

Some other ideas include:

  • Wrapped. Wrap Lit'l Smokies in crescent rolls or corn bread for Smokies in a Blanket.
  • Skewer with veggies or fruit.
  • Simmer with chili sauce or your favorite barbeque sauce

How do you like your Lit'l Smokies?
