Snow Ice Cream Recipe

I read about snow ice cream on Facebook awhile back. I was very skeptical about this frozen treat with ingredients fresh from your own yard. However, I was pleasantly surprised on how easy, fresh, and delicious this recipe is! It is so simple and perfect for my snow friends right now.

If you are concerned about issues from eating snow, according to snow research done at Brigham Young University as long as the snow is fresh it is not going to be dangerous or unhealthy. Obviously, eat at your own risk.

Since we have received at least 8 inches of snow today, I thought we would try this. I took my measuring glass outside!~

Try this instead- no gritty sugar! Mix in a large mixing bowl about one gallon of snow. I eyeball this. Pour over one can if sweetened condensed milk and one tablespoon vanilla. Mix well. I promise you’ll never go back to milk and sugar!

We do this all the time. This past storm we used coconut milk for the first time and it was delicious too.
