Good Cook sent over a huge package of products so that we could make some fun cookies! Now, I didn’t get all serious with this as the kids LOVE to decorate. So as you will see, these are beautiful creations made by kids 9 and under.
The real tragedy of this cooking day was my camera shoulder strap got tangled up with some stuff on the counter and it was dropped on the floor. It apparently damaged my favorite lens even though I’ve dropped it before and it actually landed on my soft Gel Pro mat instead of the hardware. The picture above was taken with said favorite lens. The other pictures were taken with the standard lens that comes with the Canon Rebel and just don’t match that quality above.
I decided to just use a cookie mix and refrigerate it overnight so that it would be good to go. I was trying to make this as painless as possible. We had a ton of different sprinkles and icings and food coloring to make pretty icings for the kids to have a blast. The key is having everything ready for them for a fun cookie decorating day.
I let the youngest stir because she thinks it is so much fun! I love the blue mixing bowl. Perfect size for cookies.
Sweet Creations has this cute set of 12 cookie cutters that has everything holiday related from wreaths, stockings, santas, snowmen, ornaments, and more! They are easy to use.
We had two large Good Cook baking sheets ready with cookie shapes.
Proof of the fun…
Well, the real fun is eating them!
